He smiled lightly, following the steps of the dance easily. "Are you?" He asked.
RP? One on One
"Of course I am," she spoke with a soft tone. (like she liked someone or something like that)I wonder where he learned how to dance. "Do you dance in your free time or something?" She grinned at him, slightly teasing
He rolled his eyes. "No, i learned to dance from my mother, who said it was a necessary thing for me to know."
"Smart mom you got there," she chuckled softly.
"I know. I hated it, though." He said with a soft laugh.
"Ah, what?" She shook her head in mock disbelief. "I thought dancing was every man's dream."
Jair laughed softly. "No. I would much rather have been outside doing a pretend swordfight with a stick, then learning to dance."
"I see," she giggled. The song ended. As per custom (i guess?) Kana curtsied. "Thank you again for dancing with me"
Jair bowed in return. "You're welcome." He said with a small smile.
She got closer to him and whispered, "you know we could leave early. They don't need us for the rest of the ball."
He raised his eyebrows. "Kana." He said softly. "You're the queen. You can't just leave. And…do you realize how it would look? If we left together?"
"Jair. You're my guard. You have to follow me wherever I go. They would think that they're doing your duty." she sighed. "And if I'm the queen, why does everyone tell me what I can and can't do?" She was starting to lose her patience. She knew Jair was being reasonable but she had been bottling her emotions build up since she was a kid.
"Kana, please calm down." Jair said softly, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. "And…yes, i know that. Bit there will be those who think…" He shook his head.
(Psst is it okay if I have her storm off and make her suffer even more?)
(lol yes that's totally fine XD also, we should totally just have the romantic tension slowly just…amp up more and more until it explodes XD)
(Yes! We need to come up with a plan on how to do that. I have a few ideas, but they're not the best in my opinion)
Kana shrugged his arm off and, staying completely silent, stormed off into the corner where there was a somewhat secret emergency exit. She quietly exited through the door, internally seething.
(lol uhm…really I was just thinking they both slowly figure it out, and then like…idk they have an argument or something, and one of them kissed the other? Idk XD what are your ideas?)
Jair sighed, and followed her silently.
(I was thinking that maybe one day Kana got drunk (why do I love to get my characters intoxicated??) and she just blurts out her feelings. And the argument one, because whOoOwEe that always works out good! Or something super cheesy like she has a nightmare and she runs into Jair's room and asks for him to help. And then, because she gets drowsy and stupid when she's tired, she accidentally tells him how she feels.)
Kana started to pick up her pace, but tripped on something and hit her head.
(that could work really well! Altho Jair would probably just be like, "you're drunk. You'll regret this later. So no. Leave me be." Ooh I like the nightmare one too bc Jair sleeps shirtless I mean, bc it would be interesting too XD)
Jair kept following her, not quite an to see her yet.
(Let's do bOtH! Because Kana won't remember what happened-)
Kana groaned and felt her head, realizing it was bleeding a bit. Great. This day is fantastic. Just the absolute best. She stood up and her eyes started to sting. That hurts a lot more than the movies portray them I expected! She sat up, slightly wincing when she did. Jeez, I didn't realize I was so weak.
(lol alright!)
Jair came around the corner, and knelt by her. "This is why you don't run away from your bodyguard." He said with a small smile. "Come on. Let's get you to the healer's."
"I was doing perfectly fine by myself," she huffed. But she had to use his arm to pull herself up. When she was up and standing, she quickly walked off (aGAIN-) to the doctor's office.
Jair sighed softly, and followed her. "Kana, are you mad at me?" He asked softly. He really hoped she wasn't. That would be awkward.
"No…" she sighed, slowing down her pace. "I just hate being told what to do sometimes. I'm sorry."
He sighed softly. "Okay. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to keep you safe as much as possible."
"I know you are," she smiled at him. "I mean, that is your job."
time skip with the doc?
He chuckled softly. "Mhm."
(Sure)
Time skip
Kana looked up at him and sighed, "What a night…"
Jair nodded in agreement. "Yes…at least there was no one stabbing you, though." He said.
Kana looked down at where Jair got stabbed a while back. "Right."
Her eyes suddenly lit up. "I know how to finish the night off!"
