He raised his eyebrows. "How?" He questioned, looking down at her.
RP? One on One
She smirked and grabbed his arm. "Come on,"
A while later, they arrived at the cellar (or wherever people store alcohol idk)
"Ta-da!"
He sighed softly. "You get drunk all you want, Kana. I can't." He said. "A drunk guard is less than useless."
Kana shrugged. "Your loss," she grabbed the nearest bottle of liquor (say liquor with an exaggerated French accent and boom that's how i say liquor) and started to drink it. Am I even allowed to be doing this?
Jair was quiet, standing nearby and watching her carefully.
A while later, she had chugged the whole thing. She clearly could not handle it well. She was sitting on a stool while resting her head on the table, muttering things under her breath.
Jair watched her, sighing softly. He had made a few attempts to stop her, but she hadn't listened.
"Jair?" even though she only said a single word, it was all slurred. She sat up and looked at him, swaying back and forth.
"Yes?" Jair said softly, looking down at her.
"I have a secret to tell you," she smiled at him and reached for another bottle
He took the bottle. "You've had enough." He said calmly.
Kana sighed, "way to rain on my parade." She clapped her hands together and grinned. "Wanna hear my secret?"
He looked at her. "Sure."
"Ask me!" She giggled. "Ask me my secret,"
"What's your secret?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I think I like you." She was clearly being serious. Her smile was still there, but the tone of her voice meant business. "Like a lot."
He raised his eyebrows. "Kana…you're drunk." he said slowly, ignoring the way his heart jumped into his throat.
"You know what they say," she stopped smiling, completely serious. "The truth comes out when one is intoxicated."
"Kana, I have never heard anyone say that." he said gently.
(WHEEZE why was that so funny to me?)
"Whatever," she shook her head somewhat violently. "The point is, I'm being serious."
(lol idk XD)
Jair shook his head. "No, Kana. You're drunk." he said gently. "Let's get you to bed. In the morning, when you're feeling better, we'll talk."
"No!" She frowned at him. Why am I getting upset? "I really do like you. When I said you became dear to me, I meant that I liked you,"
He rubbed his face with his hand. Please stop this, Kana. "Kana, no. You are drunk. We can talk about this in the morning."
Kana's eyes started to sting. She ignored what he was saying, and continued. "I think you might be the only person I've ever known that genuinely cares about me."
"Kana, please." he said, sitting down near her and putting a hand on her shoulder. "Think about this. You can tell me again in the morning, when you aren't drunk, if you want to."
She looked at him and nodded. "Fine."
He gave her a small smile. "Good." he said softly.
doing a time skip to the next morning-
Kana woke up with a pounding headache. "Water…" she mumbled, her mouth practically dry. She clumsily walked around in her dark room, trying to find water. She accidentally knocked something made of glass over. She winced at the noise.
Jair had been asleep, and woke up when the crash happened. He put on a shirt, and walked over to her room, knocking on the door. "You alright?" he called.
She accidentally touched the glass, leaving a small cut on her finger. "I need water,"
