"And to me, I'm a mechanic." She looped her arm around his, face getting uncomfortable hot. "Let's g-go."

They made their way across the field ahead and over a small bridge. The settlement was, fortunately, only a few miles away.

Gaia snapped her finger down and full burst on speed, screaming the Tokyo Ghoul theme song.

"So, what kind of hat should I get? My last one was a conductor's hat, with grey and white stripes, but um, it just looked grey with all of the dirt and grease on it." Mariko kept talking, trying to distract from the fact that Ellis was so close.

"Maybe a navy blue one? Or brown. That'd compliment your hair."

"oh you're on" paps began to yell the tune of 'bonetrousle' and began to run faster "MY LEGS WILL BREAK BEFORE YOU EVEN GET THERE!!!"

"I've run all my life paps! You're not getting past me!" Gaia screeched and used adrenaline to her advantage.

paps gets a boost of energy and somehow goes even faster he keep a pace of about 3 feet behind gaia "SO HAVE I!!!"

Gaia summons all her inner energy, music from cool anime battles, winning running races, everything. She leaped and boosted herself ahead a few feet. She picked up speed and kept her distance between her and Paps.

paps triped over a rock "shit…" paps tumbled and face planted, bleeding.
(i've been rolling a d20 constantly raising what i need to beat in order to get in front of gaia, i rolled a one this time but a 20 before this roll)

"Are you okay?" Gaia slowed down abit, wary of any fake moves

paps slowly got up, obviously in pain "i'm…fine… you… ow… you won,"

"I don't need the money." Gaia panted. "You can keep it, i just wanted to run."

"ow… that… that really fricking hurt… nyeh… heh heh…" conner begins to slowly walk to try to catch up with gaia

"This was a bad idea." Gaia sighed. She made her way to him and braced him on his shoulder.

"it was my idea, ow… but hey,it was a good workout…" paps began to chuckle to himself
