Me: Hi Dirki.)

(Me: This is getting out of hand
Ellis: I agree)

(Gaia: AWww
Me: drags her away We must sit in the corner until we are needed.)

me: no it's firebrand
paps: i think we need to get back to the story)

"But I was the one who lost it. You can't argue with me on this." Mari poked his chest, shaking her head.

Ellis sighed. "How about we split the payment, k?"

"Good." She nodded, satisfied with the outcome.

Ellis squinted. "We're almost there. Prepare yourself."

She gave him a thumbs up and smiled. I wonder what the people are like. "I will, Captain."

(Hellu?)

Imma just do a little jump to the village)

The settlement was rather shabby. A few small shacks and a shed made up the town square. Carts, however, were scattered everywhere and the people who were tending them were as lively as ever. The square filled with the bustle of the people at work.

Ellis took a deep breath. "Okay, I think we should just start from one side and work our way around."

(Ellen: Do they have cats?)

"Good idea." Mari saluted, standing up straight, and walked towards the nearest booth, braids swinging behind her.

Ellis shook his head and, smiling, followed her.
The vendor smiled broadly at them. "Welcome! Can I help you with anything?"

"Do you have any hats?" She asked, leaning forward and smiling.

The vendor paused. "Hmmmm….I don't think I can help you there sweetheart. I can, however, point you in the right direction!"

"Thank you!" She turned towards Ellis, excitement lighting up her face.

Oh my gosh…
Ellis smiled and glanced at the vendor. "Where could we find a good quality hat?"
They pointed across the market. "Over there. Sam usually has the best ones. He's in the little blue one."

"Let's go see Sam," Mariko said, walking in turn with Ellis.

Ellis nodded. "You want a brown one, right? Or was it navy…."

"Anything we can find that looks nice, I guess. Both sound good." She shrugged, holding onto his wrist in a moment of bravery.

Ellis blushed. "That's not very comfortable. How bout if we…" He slipped his hand into her's. "That' sbetter right?"

System crashing, brain failing, cannot send signals to mouth. "I-uh-I mean-it's nice-but-I just can't-I really like-but I can't-you are-I just-I-um." Mari managed to get herself to shut up, holding onto Ellis' hand and smiling awkwardly.
