(Ok!)

@Mr.Misfit

(Roger that!)

Dylan noted her concern and smiled. Let her worry. This is my definition of fun!

He formed a slide as he landed behind the car, transfroming his vertical motion into horizontal motion, sliding under the car and rolling as he came out. Immeadietly he summoned two shadow-form daggers, then stood and walked casual to Element and the man.

"Sorry I'm late. Do we have a problem here, E?"

Vaughn eyed the blades that the man produced, but didn’t seem to be freaked out by it at all. He grew tempted to take out the AMT Automag III pistol that he kept tucked into the waistband of his pants, but decided against it. “I was just about to be on my way, I have things that need to be done today.”

Avery got out of the car just in time to see Dylan create two short daggers. She watched the exchange from her vantage point beside the driver's side door, but she didn't know what to do. Only being able to shapeshift into animals had its advantages, but also its disadvantages. Those were mostly when being an animal wouldn't help a situation, like right now, for example.

Vaughn glanced at Element and the man who just arrived, then looked down at his watch. His eyes widened a tad. At this rate the man he was supposed to be seeing would almost be getting out. He had to leave now to be able to get there in time. He looked around, his eyes seeming to sow hints of desperation before he lunged forewarn, ramming his shoulder into the mans gut with an unnatural amount of strength, knocking him to the ground. Vaughn broke into a sprint, running towards where he thought the city was. All that was on his mind was the man, his wife and toddler.

@Mr.Misfit

"Gah!"

The hit he hadn't seem coming came very, very hard. The daggers vanished as Dylan fell to the ground, and his ears rang as his head impacted the forest floor. He was too dazed to do much accurately, so he swung a black tendril, trying to trip the runaway.

Vaughn jerked his own body to the side, veering to the right and continuing to sprint. He could hear the sound of cars in the distance and took out his pistol, gripping it as he forced his legs to move quicker.

"Dylan!" shouted Avery as she watched him fall to the ground.

That's it, she thought. My turn.

Avery's body grew and stretched, turning golden-yellow as it did so. Her ears grew and their tips rounded out; her eyes became a golden color. When all was finished, a golden-tawny-colored lion stood in her place.

"Enough!" the lion roared in Avery's voice.

Vaughn slowed as he reached the edge of the woods and stepped onto the sidewalk. He heard the voice in the distance and cringed, stuffing the gun in my pocket as he stepped out into the road.

"Dylan, stay with Element. I'm going after that guy," lion-Avery growled as she turned and raced off after the guy.

She followed him, her big paws surprisingly silent as she walked, and finally caught up with him. "You," she said, her voice rumbling with a growl that she held back. "Who are you and what do you want?"

Vaughn flinched at the sudden voice and turned towards the animal, expression calm. “I’m not giving anyone my name, too dangerous for me. And I want nothing from any of you people.”

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan laid quietly, not quite perceiving everything. Blood pounded in his ears, his vision was fuzzy, and bright spots danced around his eyes. Everything around him blurred together. But in his chaos, two words made themselves clear: "Stay," and "Element." He shoved the ground, and it fell away as he got to his feet. He glanced around, then noticed big paw prints. He shook his head, the winced from the pain and staggered back to the car. Element followed, supporting him.

“I don’t have time for any of this,” Vaughn said, turning away from the animal and watching a building that was across the street. A large man came out, glancing around. Vaughn snatched the pistol from the pocket of his suit coat, training it on the man. Hate was in his eyes as his finger rested in the trigger. He had never used the gun to shoot someone before, just to fire off warning shots. But he couldn’t let this man go home to his wife and child.

Avery saw the gun in the man's hands and reacted on instinct. She jumped in front of him just as he shot, and the bullet hit her shoulder. She fell to the ground and cried out in pain.

The man looked up, hearing the gunshot and ran away. Vaughn cursed loudly and crouched down next to her, his frustration obvious. “Why the hell did you do that?! You don’t know what that man was going to do, he needed to be stopped!” Vaughn said swiftly.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan heard the shot, and then the scream of pain, and every sense came alive. He sprinted in the direction of the scream, shadow-forming steps to press himself further and further. He raised his right hand as he came upon the man who had shot Avery. He put his left hand on the man's shoulder, turning him around, and raised his right to the man's face.

Then a blinding light, his hand the source. At the same time, he felt exactly as he had when he had touched the stone, as if a searing hot piece of metal went straight through his arm.

(Just blinds, nothing else.)

Vaughn cursed in pain, stumbling back and falling to his hands and knees, rubbing at his eyes. “No, he’s getting away!” He shouted, feeling for the gun and gripping it tightly when he finds it.

@German_Boats

Element groaned. This was all going to heck. She tried to go after Dylan, but suddenly something smacked her in the head. She didn't even scream. She just fell to the ground, felt warm liquid pool around her, and she saw nothing.

Vaughn continued to rub at his eyes to clear up his vision as he stumbled to his feet shakily, feeling a tad dazed.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan recoiled from the shock of light, but all he felt was a strange sort of…rage. It filled him like nothing had before. He shouted, incapable of doing much else. He stumbled back, landing on his rear. Strangely, he could still see fine, minus the tears welling up from the pain.

Vaughn’s vision cleared a moment later and he groaned, blinking his eyes a few time. He rubbed at his temples with one hand and inhaled sharply.

Avery saw the blinding light, but she was in too much pain to do anything about it. She started to see stars, then those stars turned to spots of darkness.

"Dylan," she whispered, just as the black spots took over the rest of her vision, and she was taken over by blessed darkness.

@German_Boats

( Both girls are knocked out? whoops! I'll just make E go on some spiritual journey and figure out information on The Flame; you can leave her alone for a while XD )

(I totally didn't even realize that… Whoops…)

@German_Boats

Element stood in a large field, with billions of stars overhead. It was like she was staring at her Galaxy from another planet. Maybe… Element started to run. She ran and ran, and felt tears pool in her eyes when she came to a stop in front of a waterfall. She covered her mouth with her hand, and dropped to her knees.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan shook his arm, trying to clear the pain from it. He slowly got to his feat, noticing the man he had blinded.

He felt anger then, but was worried more for Avery, who (is still a lion?) was lying unconcious on the ground. He shadow-formed a hand, rising up from the ground to lift her gently and sent it back to the car, thinking out the process in code. It had been a useful skill to learn but basing it off human code still limited exactly what he could do. Still, it was more useful than learning without a basis.

He then turned his attention to the man who had shot her, instinct screaming to freaking kick him or something. He cleared the thought from his head best he could and offered his own hand to the man, trying to get him to his feet.

(I think I forgot that Avery was a lion… It's early for me… Uh, she's not supposed to be a lion, so… We'll say that she changed back after she blacked out.)

@German_Boats

( look at you being respectful Dylan! )
As she stared at the waterfall, she saw somebody come out from a cave behind it. It was her brother. She shrieked and ran to him, wrapping him up in the tightest hug she could even imagine. He was so tall… She missed him so much. He was laughing, and hugging her back.
"Hello there Bumble Bee." He whispered into her ear.
