Marya tilted her head, "What are they like?"

"Distressed. Scary as all hell, even to a grown man," he admitted. "You can still see what killed 'em.."

"Grown man? You?" Marya asked, finishing up her oatmeal.

"Well…" he snickered, "As grown as I can be," he snorted.

Marya rolled her eyes.

"I saw that," he teased, stretching his arms back with a satisfying yawn.

Marya smiled, "You were supposed to." she got up and dumped her plate in the sink. "We should go. I'll get the car ready."

"Not even a shower?" He squinted, "Are you sure?"

Marya slapped her forehead, "Forgot! I'm first!" she took off.

"No..!" He laughed, "If I don't go first, I'm turning to a dog and licking myself clean!" He threatened facetiously, standing quickly from his chair.

Marya stuck out her tongue as she entered the bathroom and quickly locked the door.

He sighed tragically, and spoke loudly for her to hear, "I guess I'll just have to… sneak into your room.."

Marya snapped open the door, pointing at him, "You wouldn't dare." her overalls were half off, exposing her white t-shirt.

"Well, I mean… if you let me shower first…" he negotiated casually.

Marya sighed, "How about, I shower first, and if you enter my room, I beat you up?" she smiled.

"You've ever fought with a wolf?" He challenged.

"You ever fought with me?" Marya raised an eyebrow. She cracked her knuckles.

"There's an easier way to settle this," he smiled. His grin held a tone of tease, that just dared her to decline.

Marya pulled her overall straps back on, "And what is that?"

"Let me shower first…" he tilted his head, repeating his offer in a ludicrously coy tone.

Marya shook her head, "No way."

"Room it is."

Marya squinted, "Again, no way." she sighed, "Gabriel, there's no way you're getting into this shower before me."

I was thinking you could intercept Marya and Gabe on their road trip.

She put her foot out, leaning across the doorway, "I want to shower first, you want to shower first, we can't be in the shower at the same time. I say that you wait."

He crossed his arms. His silence suggested his acquiescence.
