Cicada scoffed, "Then why'd ya call her pretty? Just a question, you've never slipped up before like that."

Duke stared at her. "Uh….I don't promote self hate when it's displaced?"

“That’s a really bad lie.”

Cicada nodded, "I'll accept that as an answer."

"Excuse me?" He squinted at Jason.

“You’re excused, dearie.”

Duke rolled his eyes. "I should just behead all of you and spare myself the trouble."

Cicada put a hand to her chest, "You would behead your friends. I never expected this from you."

"I was joking Cad. Joking."

"I know," Cicada smiled, "Can't I be overdramatic every once and awhile?"

Cicada winked, "And that's the way I like it."

Victoria groggily opened her eyes, but everything was blurry. It didn’t seem like much had changed in the time she’d been out. She propped herself up on her elbows and mumbled, “ow.”

He turned to Jason. "Are you gonna tie her up? She could come to at any moment-oH CRAP SHE'S AWAKE!"

“Yeap,” Victoria muttered. “Awake.”

Cicada quickly grabbed some rope, "I'll tie her up!"

“cool,” Victoria sighed, offering her wrists. “not too tight.. please… i’d Like to retain circulation….”

"I was gonna suggest just wrapping it all the way around her."

Cicada wrapped the rope around the girl's entire body. She tied a tight knot and walked back, "Done!"

“helpful,” Victoria mumbled, wriggling helplessly against the tight bonds. “Can’t…. move…”

"That's the point ding dong." Duke rolled his eyes. "What's your name?"

“still… not.. telling…”

"WHY NOT?!"

Cicada rolled her eyes, "Look dolly. Just tell and you can be on your way."

“First of all, I’m not a doll. Second of all, let’s just say you can call me Becky for now,” Victoria said. She’d stopped struggling against the ropes.
