Gij sighed. "I don't know. I was planning to have this wound heal then leave by myself with Sobex. I don't want Sia mixed more up into this, and you and your kids don't deserve it, Grace."
Grace nodded. Sia frowned. "I'm coming with you Gij."
"No, Sia, I've made up my mind. You're not."
"But Gij…" She trailed off. Why not? There was an awkward silence. Grace cleared her throat. "Well, I think it might be wise to sleep on this and maybe discuss this further tomorrow." She stood up and walked to the door. "I'll be down the hall if you need me Sia."
Gij glanced after Grace as she left, leaving the room in silence.
"Gij, I'm coming with you. I've grown too attached to you to let you just… fend for yourself."
"Sia…" Gij sighed. "I've… grown attached to you too, but that's the reason I'm leaving. I can't put you in harm like this."
"Gij, I'll be fine as long as I'm with you."
"No, Sia, you won't be! You're in more danger with me!"
Sia sighed. "I… I don't care. What if the Sirens find you again?"
"If they find me again, I'll die, and that's that. If they find us you might die, and you don't deserve that."

Gij nodded, taking her silence as submission. "Just… I'll leave when this wound scabs up."
"And I'm coming with you." Sia insisted.
"No, Sia," Gij growled. "I don't want you to get hurt!"

Sia huffed, laying down on one of the beds. "If I get hurt I can heal myself."

"I don't want you to need to heal yourself. I don't want you to get hurt!" Gij sat down next to her.
"I know! But I'm coming with you!" Sia insisted.
Gij shook his head. "No! You're not coming with me!"
"Ugh! Why are you so stubborn!" Sia muttered, lowering her voice. Grace's kids were in bed.
"I don't want you getting hurt because of me!" Gij repeated for the umpteenth time.
"How many times do I have to say it! I'm fine with taking the risk of getting hurt!" Sia sighed. We are getting nowhere. We're going around in circles.
"I'm not! Especially, especially with you! I can't let you get hurt!"
"Gij, I love you too much to let you go off on your own!"
"Sia, I love you too much to let you come with me!" Gij snapped back quickly.
Sia sighed. "It's getting late. We should get some sleep."
Gij sighed and crawled up onto the other bed. "Alright. Night."
"G'night."
Gij laid back with a sigh. Sobex climbed onto his chest and curled up into a ball. Gij was comfortable, but not tired.
I'll have to leave without her somehow.
