Kanoa waited for Laurie to come out and texted her sister while she waited.
Urban/Modern Magic and Fantasy Roleplay!!
Laurie fingerbrushed the tangles our of her already dry hair and walked out to Kanoa tentatively, feeling like a stranger in nice clothes.
"OMG! You look so much cuter in that dress than I did!" Kanoa threw out her arms in excitement, smacking a vase.
Laurie blushed puple "Thank you so much for lending it to me.", she said shyly.
"You're welcome." Kanoa smiled and patted Laurie on the shoulder.
“Do— Do you need help with cleaning anything up?”, she offered, absentmindedly playing with the hem of the dress.
"No." Kanoa flicked her fingers and the shards of the vase disappeared. "I have experience with cleaning." she laughed, "I'm clumsy."
Laurie's eyes went wide. "How did you do that?"
"Magic!" Kanoa did jazz hands and smiled.
Laurie looked down at her own hands, a ping suddenly sounding in the back of her head. "It's going to rain in a few hours.", she told Kanoa. "We–we should probably leave around now if we, um, want to go shopping."
"'Course!" Kanoa grabbed an umbrella, "Let's go!"
Laurie followed, excitement bubbling up in her.
Kanoa grabbed her broomstick and another one, "Let's ride using broomsticks!" she exclaimed, handing one to Laurie and grabbing tiny goggles for Pauka, "He likes to feel like he's the pilot."
"Aww! Th-That's so cute!", Laurie giggled, tentatively taking one. "Um, how fast do these go> Because I could, um, probably fly alongside you."
"Fast!" Kanoa threw her arms up, "Like fast! But not as fast as Zodiac." she smiled, "Zodiac's a dragon." Pauka grabbed the goggles out of Kanoa's hand and put them on, grinning.
(ZODIAC!!!!!!!!!)
"A–A dragon?", LAurie said incredulously, mounting her broom. "I've only ever seen one."
"Yeah, they're pretty rare!" Kanoa smiled.
“I love them..”, Laurie said dreamily.
Kanoa smiled, "You would like Zodiac, but Ace can be a handful."
(Aaah)
“Ace?”, Laurie tilted her head, puzzled. Wasn’t that a card?
"Oh my god, he's so superficial at times, but he's like a total softie when you find out that he has a teddy bear tattoo." Kanoa held onto Laurie's shoulders, "He has really cool purple eyes and like, a bajillion tattoos!"
Laurie’s eyes flickered to her arms at the word ‘tattoos’ when she realized Kanoa could see all her Goldinke markings in this dress. “Sounds like an interesting person.”, she grinned.
"He is! But behind Ace's purple eyes, you can literally feel the sadness." Kanoa smiled sadly, "It's like he's always holding in pain and suffering."
I know how that feels. “he sounds like a good guy.”
"Yeah." Kanoa then smiled, "NOW LET'S GO SHOPPING!"
Laurie broke out into a grin. “How do I start the broom?”
Kanoa tapped it and her hands started to glow, "Magic!" she opened the door and flew out, with Pauka hanging on behind her, wearing his aviator goggles, "Don't forget to lock the door!"
Laurie follows breathlessly, doing as she said. The wind whipped her hair around as they soared up.
"Follow me!" Kanoa swerved down and landed in front of a store. "Let's go inside!"
Laurie followed, grinning broadly as she hopped off the broom. “Where do we leave them?”
