(god, I love this fluff roleplay, it's so happy)
Urban/Modern Magic and Fantasy Roleplay!!
(Fluff is my all time favourite)
Laurie giggled a little, the brush tickled. She sneezed. “Sorry!”, she giggled again.
"Are you allergic?" Kanoa read the label, "I honestly have no idea what these chemicals are, but let's put them on your face!"
Laurie laughed, grinning so widely she thought her cheeks would split. “I can heal myself anyways, I’ll be fine.”
Kanoa read the label, "It says it's hypoallergenic? Do you have allergies?"
“Only bananas and shrimp, for some reason.”
Kanoa threw her head back, laughing. "Shrimp and bananas?!"
“I don’t mnow why!!!” Laurie laughed. “I get hives!”
"That sounds awful." Kanoa giggled, "I'm allergic to porcupines."
"Porcupines?", Laurie said incredulously. "How is that even possible?!"
"No idea." Kanoa laughed, "My demon-dad can't stand them either."
"What's he like? Your dad, I mean."
"Oh dear." Kanoa laughed, "Get ready for a whole lotta backstory." she cleared her throat and began to start. "My mom, real mom, made a deal with a demon to have its baby for like unlimited riches and then she promised a witch her firstborn child in exchange for the ability to fly. My demon-dad and witch fought over custody, and ended up raising me together, so I grew up learning magic and visiting Hell on the weekends." Kanoa smiled, "My mom drops in every year or so like, 'Here's your new spellbook, Kan-Kan, next year I'll teach you the ins and outs of magical tax evasion." she clasped her hands behind her back, "Rayni was just an accident baby, so the father of the poor teen mother sold her off to my demon-dad as an exchange for summoning my demon-dad when he was taking a shower."
Laurie blinked. “Did not see that coming.”, she muttered. “Is he a good person. Well, demon.”
"Heck yeah!" Kanoa laughed, "In fact, he doesn't ever possess people out of spite!"
Laurie grinned. “He sounds pretty awesome. And your mom?”
"She's pretty great." Kanoa touched Laurie's shoulder, "She's teaching me some necromancy next week!"
Laurie grinned. “Must be nice to have a proper family.” She clapped a hand over her mouth as soon as she said that.
"Proper?" Kanoa asked, raising an eyebrow, "What's your family like?"
“My real one or my fake one?”
Kanoa looked confused, "Both?"
Lauriel took a deep breath. “Have you ever heard of a changeling Faerie?”
"Only in stories," Kanoa said.
“Well, you’ve officially met one. My Faerie parents traded me for a human, and my human parents hated me.” She swallowed. “They were the ones who carved the word into my arm.”
"I'm can't even begin to comprehend how you feel right now." Kanoa kissed Laurie's forehead as reassurance. "I'm so sorry."
(I'm going to be gone for 3/30-4/7, cuz I'm going to Disney-world. Feel free to carry on with my characters, but I might get on at night and on the mornings. Just wanted to give you a heads up.)
(Aw bye! Have fun:D)
Laurie leaned into the hug, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment before pulling away. “Thanks, Kanoa.”, she sniffled. “I— I don’t mean to be rude, but would you mind if I stayed over at your place tonight? I, um, currently live in an overturned dumpster.”
"Of course you can stay!" Kanoa jumped up and down, "It'll be so much fun! Roomies!" she held up a hand for a high five.
Laurie high fived her, grinning. “Thanks, Kanoa. Can I try doing your makeup?”
Ooh, idea: Kanoa and Lauriel doing eachoyher’s nails!)
