Rivian, dressed in a long hooded coat and business suit, rubbed his tired eyes as he made his way home for the morning. His hood fell low over his head, shielding his entire face from the sun. A long time ago, he wouldn't have dared to risk going into the sun, but then came the invention of hoods and soon he decided to take that risk. His car was waiting for him at the end of the road, so he wouldn't have to deal with the scorching heat for long. He glanced up, frowning, and pushed his hood back a little - he thought he heard a sigh. Further down the street, leaning against a tree, was a young girl who looked weary and sick. As he strode nearer he had a flashback to the night he was turned into the creature he is today, which made him pause for a moment. Every so often he would have these flashbacks, no matter how hard he tried to suppress them. He continued walking, moving into the shade a little as the sun flickered onto his face. Keeping his himself steady and his eyes completely focused, he neared the girl. "Is everything okay, miss?"
