(Maybe Artemis/Asashi can bring up Artemis's mom and she starts talking about it or something?)

"Maybe you should try it out sometime," Asashi growled.

(K. Maybe he insults her mom. I'm probably be on and off since I'm working drawing Arty.)

Artemis rolled her eyes. "Whatever. My mom would freak if she found out I put myself on your level by putting one of those headsets on."

"Your mom is a ********** if I ever met one," Asashi spat, "Putting kids into battles to survive? How much more of a ********** could someone get?"

"Don't insult my mom!!!" Artemis hissed, furious. "It's one thing to insult me, and another to insult Ashlyn Palizen!"

Asashi froze, "A-Ashlyn…?" he stammered, "No, it's a pretty normal name," he muttered to himself. He started to shake in fear, "W-What does she look like?" he asked quietly, not looking at Artemis.

Artemis shrugged. "Why should I tell you?"

"Just tell me," Asashi tried to stop his voice from shaking, "Does she have black hair and hazel eyes?"

Artemis rolled her eyes. Might as well tell him. Wouldn't hurt anything. "Yes…"

Asashi's eyes widened, "Was she married before?" he was visibly shaking now.

Artemis wondered where he was going with this. "I think so. I don't know if it was an official one or anything though."

"No," he whispered, "It can't be her," he thought for a moment and remembered a specific detail he was sure no one else could have, "Does she have a scar, somewhat shaped like an 'S' right under her left eye?"

Artemis stepped back. "Okay, how did you know that?" She snapped.

Asashi's blood drained from his face and his stomach flipped inside out, "S-She died, didn't she?" he muttered to himself, "H-How? How?" he started to breathe quickly.

"How what Sashi? You're not making sense. My mom Ashlyn Palizen is perfectly alive." He was acting really weird.

Asashi looked at Artemis, "If everything you said was true, she'd my mother," he explained, "You know last time you visited? Ashlyn was the person I was talking about."

"WHAT!?" Artemis nearly screamed. "How the hell? Wha-? There's no way I'm related to YOU!" She tried to calm herself. "You're lying!"

Asashi shook his head sadly, "Unfortunately, it's true," Asashi muttered to himself, "I thought she had died in that fire."

Artemis took a deep breath. She glared at Asashi. "Did they take a blood sample when they processed you?"

Asashi shook his head, "I don't think do, being here for seven years doesn't help your memory much, so I may be wrong, but if she wanted to keep me a secret, probably not."

Artemis stormed of and fetched a data intaker. She came back, scrolling through the files. "I'm taking a sample." She hissed.

"If it helps to make you believe me, I'm fine with it," Asashi took a shaky breathe, finally able to calm himself down.

Artemis opened the cell and grabbed his hand, using the intaker to take a little blood. She stepped out again as the device processed the information.

"So? What's it say?" Asashi asked.

She slammed it down on a nearby table, swearing.

"So, was I telling the truth?" Asashi asked.

"Yes." She said through gritted teeth. She took a deep breath. Explained why her mother always watched Asashi with such intensity. She was his freakin' mom. She stood there, trying not to cry or anything stupid.

"We probably shouldn't let anyone know, it might cause problems for both of us," Asashi sighed, "I wish I could burn her face off," he muttered to himself.
