Artemis slowed to a walk. 'Strange things have happened here.' She mused to herself. Strange how she felt some form of…attachment maybe, to Asashi now that she knew they were siblings. Why should that change how she felt about him. 'Because you both have Ashlyn in common. A controlling mother. And apparently cold-hearted too.' She shuddered. Were the games really that bad? They were just VR. They weren't real.
But neither were nightmares, yet those were scary….
(So the games r starting now right?)
(As soon as everyone's here I guess…)
Sam waited in the high box, sitting behind their father. "When will the games start?" they asked to no one in particular.
Artemis stepped into the high box. Ashlyn waved her over. "Your just in time Arty."
Sam turned around. "Oh, it's you," they said dismissively. "Artemis. A fitting name for such a beautiful idiot,"
Artemis would of flipped them off if Ashlyn wasn't sitting there. "What exactly makes me an idiot?"
(lmao sam likes to flirt with people and show hatred at the same time. so dysfunctional.) "The fact that you're not me," Sam snarked, getting up from their seat and leaving before Artemis could get in a parting jab.

Artemis rolled her eyes. Rich Kid wasn't worth the time. "What does GM have planned?" She asked Ashlyn. "He hasn't told me. He wanted to keep it a surprise."

"Let's get the games started!" the announcer yelled, as the arena erupted in cheers.

Artemis leaned forward, waiting for Asashi to enter the arena. She hoped he'd win. Either way, they needed to talk more.
Ether was in the arena first putting the headset on.

Asashi sighed and put his headset on. His head was swimming with all kinds of thoughts, but he blocked them out and only thought of the battle ahead of him.

The Game Master stood up. He picked up a mic and addressed the fighters. "Good Day, fighters. Today we have a special tournament to determine the best of the best. The lucky winner will spend the night in one of my personal suites. Have fun." He tapped a few controls and the digital landscape began to form.
