"I-" Aliana started to confirm, but sighed and rolled over so she was facing Hatta looked down at the bed, "No. No, I'm not sure."

Hatta studied her for a moment. "Alright. Is there anything I can do?"
"Can," Aliana felt herself deflate. She couldn't ask him to do that, "Can you just talk? Please?"
"Alright. Uhm…about what?"
"Whatever you want," Aliana responded wiping at her eyes trying to get rid of the tears.
Hatta nodded. "Alright…" He thought for a moment, then began to talk, describing the building he lived in, which doubled as both his home and his shop.
Aliana listened to him as he talked. She slowly lost herself in his description feeling much calmer than when she woke up her tears finally gone.
Hatta kept talking quietly, describing the building.
Aliana didn't want to stop him, but she did say quietly as he talked, "Thank you."
Hatta nodded. "Yeah. You're welcome." He replied.
Aliana yawned a little and felt her eyes close a little, but she didn't want to go back to sleep, "This is all so crazy."
Hatta nodded. "Yeah, it is." He agreed, shaking his head a little.
"So we're off to find the guardian today," Aliana commented softly, "Think we'll be able to stay in more inns?"
Hatta nodded, then shrugged. "I'm not sure." he replied running a hand through his white-streaked hair.
Aliana noted the hair and asked a question she had had since yesterday, "When the girls say they took years, did they mean years off your life?"
Hatta's eyes flashed for a moment, and he nodded. "Yes." he replied after a pause, studying her.
"Oh, I, uh, had guessed so," Aliana responded to Hatta's admission. She had been hoping she was wrong, but it turns out she was right.
Hatta's mouth twitched in a faint smile. "Yes, I can see you did."
Aliana looked up at him to see him grinning a little, "Really? How did you see that?"
"It's…kinda obvious." Hatta replied. "That that's what they took. Plus, you wouldn't have said that if you hadn't suspected it."
"I guess yeah," Aliana responded smiling slightly, "So those white streaks are from the deal?"

Hatta nodded a little bit. "Yeah, they are." he replied, touching a streak for a moment.

"I like them," Aliana told him in slight hopes of both comfort and she just really did like them.
Hatta's mouth twitched into a faint smile. "Thanks." he replied.
Aliana gave him a smile back, “You’re welcome.”
Hatta looked at her. "Should we try to get a little more sleep?"
“I,” Aliana yawned a little as her eyes started to close again, “Probably.”
Hatta nodded, closing his eyes. "Alright."
Aliana nodded and she let her eyes close. It took a little longer this time but she did enter back into the realm of sleep.
Hatta fell asleep as well.
