Aliana laughed and brightened up, "Glad we agree on that. Maybe we could have a marble celebratory cake?"

Hatta grinned. "Yes, perfect! I know a good cake place."
Aliana was beaming, "Perfect! We have all we need, now we just need to get the job done."
Hatta smiled. "Yeah." he agreed, running his hands through his hair.
Aliana messed with her straps as she grinned. She started to hum again.
Hatta whistled along quietly, smiling.
The melody was much more upbeat and happy. She was still smiling.
Hatta was smiling as well, whistling along with her.
Aliana enjoyed these moments. The little things that made this whole thing endurable.
Hatta kept walking beside her and whistling.
Aliana hummed, her eyes shutting a little. She took a breath and kept going.
Hatta glanced over at her for a moment, then away again.
Aliana looked over at Hatta. She looked back to the road trying to not skip.

Aliana thought for a moment before she opened her mouth and started to sing softly.
Hatta stopped whistling so that he could listen, cocking his head just a little bit to one side.
Aliana felt some of her confidence go away as he stopped whistling. She felt her voice go quiet before forcing herself to a crescendo. It wasn't very loud, but it was louder than earlier.
Hatta started to quietly whistle again, accompanying her.
Aliana smiled as she heard Hatta start to whistle again. Some of her confidence regained.
Hatta kept whistling quietly, following the road.
Aliana felt her voice grow stronger and she kept close to Hatta.
Hatta kept whistling. He did the math in his head of how long it would take to reach the guardian, and he sighed softly.
Aliana heard Hatta sighed and let her singing draw to a close, "What is it?"
Hatta shrugged. "It's going to take a few days to get there." he replied slowly.
"Oh," Aliana frowned a little as she thought, "That's not ideal is it?"
Hatta shrugged. "I don't know." he replied after a moment.
Aliana let out a sigh, "Well, at least we have some time to come up with a plan. But that means more time for the, uh, yeah. To get closer."
Hatta nodded. "Yeah." he replied, shaking his ehad a little bit.
Aliana paused for a moment before starting to softly sing once more.
Hatta whistled along softly.
