Thelisi paused and looked at her. “Ah.”

"We can take a walk in the woods." Holding the infant gently, Athena stood.

Thelisi giggled lightly, hugging Athena around the neck. “Silly Athe!”

"Oh, be quiet." Athena huffed with a smile. "This is the woods."

“Woods!” He giggled.

"That was spot-on!" Athena exclaims proudly.

“Woooooods! Silly woods!”

"Sometimes they do get a little silly," She admits, raising her feet over the tree branches.

“Silly woods! Silly Athe!” Thelisi giggled.

"You got the second one wrong." An owl swoops over their head.

“OWLLL!!” Thelisi screeched happily.

"It is an owl. That's a tree," Athena said, pointing to a tree.

“Twee! Owl!”

"Owls live in trees."

“Twee Owl!” Thelisi giggled.

"You're getting smarter by the minute. How's about…leaf?"

Thelisi stared wide-eyed at her, tilting his head.

"Those green things on the trees. Leaf."

“Llll… llllleeaaa?” Thelisi tried then cut out.

"Alright, you don't have to say that. How about…mommy." She tried.

Thelisi cooed loudly and fell back on Athena. One would think that he was done with words for the day.

"Alright, I get it. No more words." Athena rolled her eyes and continued their walk in the forest.

Thelisi cooed occasionally, then giggled at his own noise, kicking his legs.

Athena sighed and sat down by a tree trunk.

Thelisi stretched his arms upward. “Twweeeeee!”

"It is a tree." With one leap, Athena gracefully ascended the branches as only Athena could do.

Thelisi squealed happy, wiggling around in excitement.

"I can't go any higher than this, bud." Athena warned. "But you can see so much from up here."

Thelisi continued giggling wildly, floofing up his hair happily. He kicked his legs, pulling himself out of her grasp unsteadily.

"Oh no you don't. Do you want me to climb back down?" Athena raised an eyebrow, holding him tighter.
