Who wants to role play?

"Sorry," Shadow said.

Arthur didn't respond, his ears still flat against his skull.

"It's okay," Shadow said.

Qrthur still didn't answer, his tense frame revealing just how thin he was.

"It is," Shadow said.

Arthur didn't respond. Tense, almost quivering.

"What's wrong?" Shadow asked.

Arthur shook his head, which still hurt.

"Tell me," Shadow said.

"I-I don't even know…" said Arthur.

"Oh," Shadow said,

Arthur curled up against him, burying his nose in the other's fur as he tried to keep from crying, and failed.

"It's all okay," Shadow said,

Arthur didn't respond, dissolving in tears.

"It is," Shadow said.

Arthur curled into himself, crying again.

"Hey, it really is," Shadow said.

Arthur shook his head. Words weren't gonna convince him.

"Really?" Shadow asked.

Arthur lay still, unsure of how to act.

"Arthur, it'll be okay," Shadow said.

"What is okay…." asked Arthur quietly. his voice quavering.

"You'll see," Shadow said.

Arthur was still quivering, he didn't know how to answer.

"I promise," Shadow said.

Arthur ended up pressed against the other's side, looking for comfort and warmth.

Shadow hugged him.

Arthur melted in his grip, though he was still cold and tense.

"I promise I'll make your life great," Shadow said.

Arthur wasn't sure how the other would accomplish that. Life was already pretty horrible.
