Nicholas looks every bit like a grizzled adventurer, from his short ponytail to his ducktail beard and mustache. He even has a leather eyepatch covering his left eye, which has been rendered useless from severe burns. Age has flecked his normally-dark hair with white and set some wrinkles around his large round nose, but it hasn't done much to his impressive height (just over six feet) or his broad shoulders and tree-trunk legs. His teeth, however, have suffered quite a bit; they're covered in stains and a few are even missing completely.

Nicholas moves slow, but don't let that fool you: he's a loud and boisterous man who isn't afraid to invade your personal space. He adores bad jokes, especially his own, and he's always fighting his old age with wild adventures. His motto: "Always be prepared." He's even picked up bits and pieces of languages from around the world so he can travel in style.

Hunting knife

Against someone his own size, Nicholas doesn't fare well, but he has the skills to take down many wild animals using hand-crafted traps and precision strikes with his knife. He uses his magic only for more pragmatic purposes, such as starting a campfire, and hates to "sully" it in a fight.

Cartographer (formerly farmer)
