Jaliquai was born during troubled times in Talara, a famine had broken out a few years earlier and the demon plague still ravaged the continent and it was during this time the Talaran priesthood attempted to retake the country, resulting in stanzgarian cutting off all aid, causing the famine to worsen. Jaliquai's parents died before her allowing her to survive a little longer but she would have still perished slowly starving to death had she not been discovered by Bowlog, who had been wandering old battlefields at the time, for reasons known only to him he rescued the girl using his power to keep her alive long enough for her body to start recovering, he then brought her along with him raising her and teaching her how to survive on her own until she was old enough to go off on her own

Mostly self taught, with some direct tutoring from people she met, her "uncle" taught her how to wield a sword

Her "uncle" is the god bowlog who rescued and raised her during the demon plague
Her falchion is made from the edge of one of bowlog's axes and as such is always sharp and cannot be damages by mortal means
