Lau is fierce, aggressive, and passionate. She lives for the rush of adrenaline in dangerous situations. She values her life, but feels young and invincible. She acts as though she is a god at times. This overconfidence makes her a viable ally, as she will never give in to a fight, but also a dangerous liability. However, outside of the battle, she's a likable and fun person to be around. She loves to talk and offer bad advice.

Born to riches, Lau has never struggled the way most of the other characters have. Her parents were loving but distant, both politicians with not much time on their hands. Lau loved her life, but as any teenager, felt the need to rebel. She pretends to have struggled while ignoring the actual struggles of everyone else, working her way through Chasing training with ease. Although she can be inconsiderate, she is quick to make friends and keep them. Nyir didn't like her at first, but her boldness and willingness to fight, coupled with her talent and her biotech, was enough to convince her.
