Time was always reclusive and took his job more seriously than the other Essentials and has remained the same. However, he used to be more careless and definitely (although barely) more cheerful. One night, while the Essentials went out for drinks, Life made a bet that changed his life forever. If Time could live on Earth for 50 years, Life would do any favor that Time asked of him. Too drunk to make the right decision, Time agreed to the bet and took up the identity of Erik Einsam, whom had grown up in Massachusetts in 1676.
