Apparently Darcy contains the soul of a lost person who did not remember where they were going. When they came into Darcy's doll body, they would have forgotten who they were entirely and adopted a new persona. Boom Darcy.
They started in a little giftshop, before being thrown out when the owners saw a talking doll asking for alcohol. They wandered for "a little while longer" meaning across 7 states until a family of magical beings picked them up. It was more of the daughter who picked them up and allowed them access to Rose Lake. After they all reached Rose Lake, the parents saw Darcy and had the girl throw him away like smart people. They then walked all the way to the Wells residence and have been there ever since. They basically forced their way in and do some house chores for the Wells in exchange for housing.

Somehow extremely smart, near genius intelect. Knows a plethora on different planets, cultures, and species. Someone can just mention a species they never heard of but will suddenly know a lot about it.

Made friends with a local cat, so naturally adopted her. Her name is Sugar and shes a silver tabby.
