He looks stocky because he's always wearing long-sleeved shirts and sweaters, but he's really quite lithe and has good form and muscle from dance practice with the group. Impeccable posture.

Pitch black, however sometimes dyed some color of the rainbow (fans agree one of his best looks was the silvery blue he had for about three months). Has deliberately, at separate times, dyed his hair every color of the pansexual flag.

Bangs fall over his eyebrows and eyes constantly, close cut to his head everywhere else.

Human; Korean-American.

Pale as the moon (haha wordplay), literally not a single mark or blemish anywhere, doesn't need concealer or anything it's insane.

Dark hickory brown. Likes to wear colored contacts for concerts/music videos.

Has long fingers, and capable hands, constantly in movement.
Has the hint of dimples but no one ever gets to see it because he almost never smiles full-out/genuinely.

Uses every trick in the book to make himself look naturally taller: heels, posture, chin held up. Oozes masculinity.

Starts cussing and ranting in Korean, reminiscent of his own mother, when giving an angry lecture (usually to Noah, who can't take him seriously when he doesn't understand what Leo is saying).

To make everything worth it. To not let anything his mother went through and did for him go to waste. Also wants to prove himself, to build his own life and create his own existence (he has a long, philosophical and slightly phenomenological explanation to go with it): it's important to him that he sets an example, if not by how he acts then by the things he has accomplished in his life, on his own.

Authoritative, domineering, overly ambitious and independent. People constantly disagree over whether he has BDE or whether he's simply arrogant.
Is often distrustful of others, in the manner that he doesn't expect them to get the job done as well as he can: he will seldom ask for help even when he is overloaded, dying from the stress, because if you want something done right you have to do it yourself. Goes ACTUAL days without sleeping, ignoring any sound advice about taking a break because he needs to get everything done.
Prides himself on being straight-forward, but has a difficult time opening up to people. Comes off harsh when he's trying to be helpful and, despite his "die trying" nature, he gives up quickly if he feels his message isn't getting across.
Has trouble relating to things he hasn't personally experienced, and this in turn often makes him insensitive to another's plight, or personal problem.

Can program, and usually does all the technical stuff behind producing a song. Well-versed at playing the piano, violin, harp and ukulele (the last one is a bit of a guilty pleasure, and something he doesn't flaunt as much). Is completely fluent in both English and Korean.

Analyzing Broadway musicals (and also just listening to and obsessing over them, he knows all the trivia). Likes numbers and is GOOD with numbers.
Likes to write songs, but a lot of these don't make it into official tracks or albums: they're a little too personal for Leo to share.

Has a lot of hidden sass and deadpan sarcasm: you think he's quiet and serious but then he snark attacks you and keeps snark attacking you every five minutes and doesn't stop. Big on establishing dominance: firm handshakes, firm eye-contact, straight posture, imposing aura.
Leo is incredibly orderly, and dislikes when things don't go according to plan. Hates surprises. Does tend to come off cold, even judgmental, but stick around and he'll care for you in the most subtle manners. Can sit with someone for hours in comfortable silence if he trusts the person: constant conversation takes too much effort, and isn't necessary. He's learned the importance of communication over the years, but he still struggles to put his emotions into words sometimes, no matter how much he wants to: he expresses himself almost exclusively through actions, and that goes for showing affection/appreciation/friendship as well.

A very business-minded person, Leo's in cahoots with the group's manager in taking charge of album line-up and merchandise and touring schedules. He and Noah got into one huge fight where Noah wanted to include some of their more personal songs in their first full album and Leo retorted with "no we need to get popular first, cater to a majority and gather an audience, and then you can do whatever the fuck you want, so just be patient and let me do what I need to do". He's strategic and approaches most of his problems head-on and logically.

Liberal. A strong feminist. Has some Communist and some anarchist tendencies and leanings, but he's pretty comfortable being a law-abiding citizen at the moment.

Vehemently atheist. Obviously will leave religious people to pray in peace or whatever, but he's always disliked the concept of religion, and believes its simply a manner of controlling the masses.

Was top of his class, valedictorian, class president, soccer starlet. Started college on a great scholarship before the start of his music career, and is still taking courses online to finish his business degree, slowly but surely.

Leo grew up in Minnesota.

His mother is his hero: she came to America with a degree that was useless in this new country, and already three months pregnant with her son. She had no house, no job, no money, and who would hire a pregnant woman who didn't know a single word of English? After she gave birth she had another mouth to feed, and her life started to revolve around Leo: there wasn't a thing she wouldn't do to ensure his safety. She even had a pimp for a while. It's a miracle either made it through alive, and that's what Leo's mother always referred to him as: her miracle. Leo lives his life to repay his mother and everything she's done for him, and to tell the universe "Fuck you" for trying and failing to run them both into the ground.

Leo himself was a quiet, obedient child: he did what he was told and never really fussed, and started helping out around the house as young as 7 years old, when he no longer needed to be dropped off at the neighbor's during the weekend anymore. His mother really ingrained it into him to always do his best, to try his hardest at any given task, because the reward was a reliable and solid reputation, and the professional trust of those around him. He was a real go-getter in school, where he was so busy and pursuing so many different interests that he didn't really have time for friends. Like any teenager, he wanted friends, but he also found most of his classmate to be a bit beneath his pay-grade, immature and shallow and vain. And so he didn't really bother connecting with anyone, because another thing he learned from his mom was to have high standards for yourself, and to never settle for less when it came to your comfort and your needs.

Gets high any chance he can afford it, it relaxes him like nothing else.

• He took a pre-college summer course and fell hard for the teaching assistant there, Naomi. They had a whirlwind type of romance, with her being Leo's first everything. When she realized he was getting too attached, and that he liked her more than she liked him, she dumped him.


• In his early twenties Leo had a close friend, Mark, who was head-over-heels for this one girl, but who had conflicting feelings about whether he was attracted to guys or not. They had a one-night-stand, then a second fling, and Leo was hoping it would become a regular thing with them ending up an actual item. Mark ultimately got together with his crush. Leo wrote a song about it and moved on.


• Was in a short relationship with Renee Dubois from the girl group Malachite. He was attracted and charmed to how she loved being alive, and she was smitten with his maturity. In the end lack of communication and time for each other put the relationship to an end, but they remain on good terms.
