Growing up, Nadia and Nathan were practically joined at the hip. Nadia was the more outgoing twin, but would always make sure Nathan was included.

Through elementary school, the twins were always in the same class. Nadia became friends with Jeremy and the three kids were happy.

At the age of 11, Nadia began feeling a disconnect between herself and her peers; Not that they were being mean, but something was wrong. She began talking less in class, wearing darker colours, and avoided people, in general. Instead of hanging out with friends, she stayed home, studying.

Around this time, teachers started to notice that her grades were improving rapidly. At the age of 12, she was separated from Nathan, being placed in the more advanced classes.

It was around this time that Nadia wore jackets and sweaters all-year 'round, because she was constantly cold. She tended to wear darker colours, but tried to have something bright as an accessory.

By the end of Grade 8, she and Jeremy were practically joined at the hip.
