Emerson Hallaway was the daughter of Jason Hallaway. Jason Hallaway was one of the five founders of M.E.C.H.A. (Murphy, Ennard, Charleston, Hallaway, Anderson) Labs, a lab obsessed with creating new technology and futuristic science discoveries. Emerson always thought her father didn't care about her and her mother, which was not far from the truth. One day, when she was fifteen, she was taken into the labs, wandered off, and discovered a weapon of immense power that, when touched, would extend wires that wrapped around the body of the toucher and melt their insides. When her father discovered her near the weapon, he was so frightened and mad that her struck her across the face. She fell down, and, when boosting herself up, accidentally touched the weapon. She died, and was taken to Helena Wilkins (Sandra's mom). Jason Hallaway payed the million dollars to have his daughter reborn as a robot. Emerson was okay with this, and when she came back was happy, until her father went back to being ignoring. Emerson hacked into her own system so if she had to she could activate a gun hidden in her arm. One day, when her father hit her mother, Emerson tried to shoot him. He saw the advanced tech that she was and shut her down, erasing Emerson's memory. She was the 23rd android taken to the labs, where they were kidnapping androids to dissect them and replicate the tech, killing the android in the process. Emerson escaped, and began rescuing other androids. She could not remember her name, so she called herself Winter Leah. She was the one who rescued Sandra.
