Kelly is blunt and to the point. She doesn't beat around the bush, and she isn't a hypocrite: If she says something, she means it. Like a delinquent, she is rude and boorish, and is prone to violent outbursts. You don't want to mess with her unless you want to be hit, slapped, punched, or even kicked. However, she tries to keep a low profile because she doesn't want her mother to get in trouble, so she's somewhat apologetic and respectful at point

She is insecure about her appearance, which is another reason she tries to not get noticed.

She does wonder what her life will be like after leaving high school and not being a delinquent anymore. She wonders if she'll be able to find a job that will support herself
