Through the process of decryption of files the only way they are able to identify him is through the fact that he is colorblind.

At first glance, he seems rather confident.

After his memory is lost his only motivation is to find it again

Easily provoked to violence. Holds grudges far longer than he should. Is too ready to accept responsibility for things that were not his fault.

Atticus is an outlet for Phin's anger. They've never liked each other (before their memories were erased) and their relationship was only made worse when Atticus decided to enact revenge by bullying Phin once they entered high school.

Baseball is a hobby of his. He started playing when he was in fifth grade and found that he was naturally good at it.
Is a skilled runner. Though his endurance isn't the best he can run faster than many kids his age.

Riding his bike around his neighborhood.
Learning recipes that he never plans on attempting to cook.

Wants to be in control of situations. This often annoys the people around him

Red green color blindness which generally confuses him about what color anything is. It's not something he usually talks about as it has been exploited as a weakness in the past.
Mentally he can be rather unstable. Though most of this temporarily went away when he lost his memory.

Can be overly sensitive and emotionally vulnerable. Anyone who knows this can easy take advantage of him by breaking him down until he is willing to listen.

Before memory wipe he was on a baseball team. He was a student in high school. And always wanted to be a boy scout

Education stopped at age 15. After his memory loss he forgot many advanced skills. But if he is reintroduced to a skill he can pick back up at his previous knowledge of it

His father passed away shortly after his brother was born. His mother was never fully the same again.
With his family life struggling he took on his school as an outlet to unleash his anger. Particularly on Atticus since it was so easy.
This continued until they reached high school and Phin matured slightly. With Phin no longer harassing Atticus, Atticus decided to return the favor and took to enacting revenge on him.
This continued for a year until a confrontation that changed them both.
Through an escalating struggle (long story) Phin's brother was pushed off the edge of a bridge they had been fighting on.
Because of their lack of cooperation there was nothing they could do to save him.
Instead of facing punishment for their actions the children were arrested and given the mercy of forgetting the whole situation. And that's where the story begins.

Mother- Helena Clove. Mentally disturbed by her husband's death
Brother- Nicholas Clove. Age 8. Deceased

Clove- "Please let me forget. That would be better than remembering."

Clove- "I don't think they quite understand. Nicholas was my brother. They never even knew him. How could they care nearly as much as I do?"
