Anger towards people that damaged his life in the long run. He bottles up his anger and remorse from his childhood and uses it to fuel himself to keep moving forward.

Once again, he bottles up his emotions, and tears himself down mentally. He sees his own grief and pain as a 'weakness', and suppresses it from the world, and lets it manifest in his mind. This is one of the reasons that he lashes out, or acts arrogant/rude.

People who don't care about anything. Despite Kesshoku's wish to forget and not care about everything that has happened to him, he finds it to be incredibly irritating when others don't care about what's happening around them.

can use claws (his race has claws) to fight effectively (but prefers not to because they remind him of his father, who's genetics are the reason that he has them), good at sparring, hunting, and fishing.

didn't get to go to school, so learned from books at a young age.

At the age of eleven, his mother was killed in his own home. He had come home one evening to fetch his father, and found her lying in a pool of blood with Kateyama (his father) kneeling over her. Thinking irrationally, he instantly latched onto the idea that Kateyama killed her. Out of anger for this accusation, Kateyama lashed out and tried to hurt Kesshoku, which resulted in him shutting himself in his room and waiting for him to leave. Once he did, he climbed out the window and fled from the Northern Sector, only to find out the next day that Kateyama had gone berserk and nearly killed one of his friends, who he finds nearly dead. Scarred by his mother's sudden, gruesome death, and his father's sudden betrayal, he takes to traveling the lands with his friend (Shirai) from the Northern Sector, and a girl that they met outside of the gates who helped them to escape safely.
