Overview
Patriarchal Monarchy Of Dakshin
The title of King is passed down to the oldest son or male heir.
Structure
Monarchy
King has absolute power. He is advised by a high council made of 3 Nobles, a High Priest, and the General of the Army.
Head of the Castle and City Guard hold power over the citizens of the capital. Each city over 10,000 in population or that has important resources has a Governor that rules the city as an agent of the King. Smaller towns have a mayor who answers to the regional governor.
The high council and head of the city guard has to have absolute faith in the king for the power structure to work.
If the citizens become too unhappy they revolt against the regional governors or mayors. While the king may put down a revolt, too many unhappy people can turn the kingdom against him. The army is made up of their sons, brothers, husbands, and fathers. Keep the common people happy, keep the crown.
The crown employs the army, guards, castle farmers, castle stable hands, castle cooks and servants, miners.
Ideologies

The crown holds some land to feed the castle, they tax everyone, keep a free market system.
Women are property of their father or husband, can't own land, property. Nobel women are protected from violent offenses, but poor women are often blamed for violence against them.
Murder is against the law. As is stealing or beating another man without cause.
Immigration from the other kingdoms is encourage, as that means more taxes for the crown.
Nobles have more right to privacy than most people. Guards or the army announce their arrival beforehand and knock.
The poor have no right to privacy. The crown may enter without notice at any time, take provisions for the army or guards with little recompense.
Process
High officials are appointed by the King.
for life, or until replaced by the King.
Cases are presented to a judge in the towns, and to the Head of the Guard in the capital. If the verdict is appealed it may go before the King.
Populace
The Patriarchal Monarchy has a 60% approval rating. Just enough for it not to change.
The King tries to keep good relations with the other two kingdoms. Keeping trade open, resolving small conflicts.
Aside from women having no power over themselves, civilian life is average. Taxes go higher and lower depending on who is King or Governor.
Members
The army is comprised of 85,000 permanent members.
They have a small Navy of 50 warships and 5000 naval personnel.

This government was created by King Dakshin about 1000 years ago.
The Flag represents the current King's family. The Demir bloodline and Family standard is a large rust star in the middle of a field split diagonally of light grey over dark green.
Centuries ago they tried to take over Friar's Gate and Ataraxia, but lost.
Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumnal Equinox, Feast of the River, Festival of Candles, Feast of Iron's Light, King's Day.
