Qionic Interface Glove (The Paralyzer's Gauntlet/Cassandra's Right Hand) [SEER]
Mechanical Psionic Uplink Device
A modified hand component from one of the SEERs. Like others of its kind, the hand had undergone a procedure to make it compatible with the Qionic (Quantum Psionic) tech, allowing it to sense the ambient Qionic Resonance given off by both Machines and Humans. This hand is the ultimate conduit for mental-data manipulation of a host, whether willing or otherwise.
In its original life, this hand belonged to Cassandra, a disgraced SEERESS who still had access to the minds of those around her much to her chagrin. Regardless, she would use the Psionic potential of her hand to altruistically help the few people that still accepted her as a SEERESS for hire.
However, the hand would be given a second, much more malevolent life when the Paralyzer, a rogue disavowed SEER ambushed Cassandra and severed her hand. He'd also lose his own hand to a newcomer in the Alkaline Games, the Psychopomp after attempting to stab Cassandra in the eyes.
This did not bother the SEER of Fear at all, as he was able to fight off the hand's ambient Qionic Resonance and replace it with his own, forcibly transplanting the hand to his own body, giving him access to the SEER tech he loved so much.
Triad only knows what the self-titled "Fear Reaper" will do with this newfound weapon, but with his recent modifications to the gauntlet, it probably isn't going to be anything good...
Stats
If Cassandra simply uses this as a melee weapon, it probably won't kill the target due to her small frame. While this may cause the target a lot of pain, they can probably bulldoze through the pain if they really want to ruin Cassandra's day.
If she uses the hand's Psionic Uplink to interface with the minds of her adversaries, Cassandra may end up crippling the mental faculties of her opponents to near-termination or death depending on what she does to their minds.Since the Paralyzer's frame is much larger than Cassandra, a hit from him using the glove would probably hurt a lot. If he swings hard enough, the Paralyzer may be able to kill smaller Mecharus like Blowstick with ease.
On the far more likely occasion that the Paralyzer exploits the hand for its Qionic potential, his deadliness is far more apparent. While the Paralyzer prefers to keep his victims alive for an extended period of time in order to subject them to his menagerie of nightmares, he can easily kill them in a multitude of ways. This includes overloading the target's Neurostream with lethal amounts of stimuli, scaring them into cardiac arrest if the target happens to be human, or expelling the subject's mind from their own body into the Qionic Resonance that surrounds Earth's atmosphere.
Physical Attributes
Back when this hand was still a part of Cassandra, it had a nice and clean texture. Some have even commented that this gauntlet had a nice feel to it; that it was soothing to the touch.
When the Paralyzer stole the glove, it would show no change in texture at first.
However, after some use, this gauntlet would assume a foul, rugged, and hideous texture that only its new owner could love. The glove also felt like rusted nails, according to its previous owner.
Abstract Attributes
- By the time of the 2090s, public sentiment on SEER powers would begin to sour. Mecharus were beginning to fear an uprising from the SEERs or their many disgraced associates like Cassandra, Telemus, and the Paralyzer, who have been accused of leading the public mind astray, predicting the fall of their civilization, and forcing others to encounter their deepest, darkest nightmares.
The few good will that the SEERs possessed was mostly destroyed when the trusted, elite SEER Calchas advised Agamemnon, leader of
