Overview
Goltari
Shape changing exotic people who live in the sloping forested ruins north of the stanzgarin capital
The Goltari live in forested lowlands and ruins, in a homeland marked by ancient structures and reverence for burial in one’s native land. They repurpose ruins rather than radically altering their landscape. They value salt, archaeology, and continuity with the dead. Their lands sit at the edge of larger powers but preserve a strong identity.

History
goltari history is marred by constant raids from the aristocracy of Talara who saw them as great beasts to hunt and would use herbs and incense to force them into their bestial forms, it was not until the end of the fourth and beginning of the fifth age when Darius Drachenbär took over stanzgar and forced the Talarans to stop at the the tip of his sword (and massive army) that goltari life as a whole truly began to be about more than just simple survival
Notes
the Goltari are a group of two similar but distinct shape changers that live in the gently sloping
