Kate gave a small smile. "Okay…"

"That you knocked over all these important files," she muttered.

He tilts his head slightly at her but nods.

"No. On the drive." He snaps, pointing back to the computer

"It's not going to be weird now between us, is it?"

She shot him a look. "Let me fix these papers first!"

"Weird? In what way? No."

"No! This is more more important. "

"I don't know. Any wat…"

"Then you shouldn't have messed up my papers," she spat back.

He sits up

"You're being OCD. "

Her eyes followed him.

She pressed her lips together. "Is there a problem with that?"

"What? Anyway what?"

"Yes! This new tesseract thing is more important!"

"Oh, uh… I was going to ask about my mom."

She put the folder down on her desk heavily and arched her eyebrows at him before looking back to the screen.

"What about her?"

"Bruh!!"

"Is she alright?"

She wrinkled her nose. "Don't say that." Her eyes darted around again.

"Uh. She's fine."

Clint rolls his eyes, crossing his arms

"Where is she? Can I see her?"

"There!" Maria quickly zoomed in on it. "Right here."

"She's in her office."

"What am I supposed to be looking at?"

"Is she busy?"

Maria pointed. "Right there. That's the power intake."

"I don't know."

"The what?"

"Can you check?" She made puppy dog eyes.

Maria pinched the bridge of her nose. "Where you charge the missile. This power intake is specifically designed for energy like the tesseract."

"But I'm tired…" he slumps, falling back across the bed.

"But I thought you couldn't make one. And that big blondie that thinks he's a god got it destroyed. Along with his brother and half the universe. "

"Jacksoooooon!"

"Could you stop talking about that?" she asked tersely.

"Nooo…"

"No. Because if they are making another one. We have to know how, why"

Kate sighed. "You're hopeless."

Maria gritted her teeth and exhaled slowly.

"We just came back from a mission…"

Clint was silently scrolling through the plans

"I got shot. You didn't."

Maria watched what he was doing. "What are you looking for?"

"I had to make sure you didnt die."

"I have no idea. Just trying to make it look like I am "

She smirked. "Please. It would take more and a misaimed bullet to kill me."

Maria rolled her eyes. "Clint…"

He rolls his eyes, "Mmm…"

"What?"

She gave him a look. "What?"

She shook her head. "Nothing."

"I dont wanna…" he rubs his eyes and curled into a ball on his back

He looks up at her but decided not to ask anything.

"Lazy," she accused with a smile.

Maria looked very tired. The light on her face from the screen highlighted the dark circled under her eyes.

Clint noticed but decided not to say anything
