I think one of the biggest problems I have in regards to my gender identity right now is that, if I were to identify as non binary, I'd be that stereotypical skinny, white, vaguely masculine but mostly feminine AFAB person who's always correcting people on their pronouns
The only enby people I see and meet are pretty much all that stereotype.
I'm not dissing on enbies who are that stereotype, but because I'm that stereotype and so many other people are, I'm worried identifying as non binary is just a modern white "girl" thing. Some way of fulfilling the need to be special and alternative. People always make fun of AFABs, cis or not, for that. What if that's me?
What if my non binary feelings aren't real enough to be classified as, well, a gender other than cis?
Being percieved as a girl makes me uncomfortable. Being percieved as a boy makes me uncomfortable. But being percieved as fulfilling that stereotype and "pretending to be unique" for the sake of being a special skinny white "girl" makes me the most uncomfortable.
This is a stupid rant.
I don't want to be "valid". I just want to be me, without all the ties people might associate me with, without all the assumptions.
This is why we need diversity. It's not just for people who don't fit stereotypes, it's for people who fit the stereotypes and feel stupid for doing so.

Sometimes people fit stereotypes. That's how they got there. But a stereotype is not a person and is ~~stereotypically~~ two dimensional and you my friends are people and multi-faceted and I will punch anyone who sees you only as a stereotype :)

I don't really think you fit the stereotype, but even if you did, transphobes see what they want to see, not what's really there (hence their ignoring of science and such to go "uhh boy is boy no matter what!"). There's really no pleasing them, and it's worth much more to be comfortable than to try and justify yourself to them.
