Zev nodded, and went into the ship to search for her tools. He eventually found them, and came back out and found her. "I have them."
"And it became Human, in most ways that mattered." // OxO // OPEN
"Thanks, just bring them up here," She shouted from on top of the ship, already starting to get to work or at least bring all the supplies she would need up to the top of the ship.
Zev nodded, and climbed up onto the ship, setting the tools down beside her. "here."
Thesa nodded in thanks and immediately dug in the tools, pulling out a pair of sunglasses and putting them on before getting to work without replying.
Zev was quiet, looking at her. "What do you need me to do?" he finally asked.
"We just have to repair the ship, so remove the plating that we put on back in space so we can put the new hull on." She tapped the piece she was working on and shrugged, "Pretty simple."
Zev nodded, and began to remove the plating, prying it open with his hands. His left wrist clicked and made a grinding sound, but he ignored it.
Thesa looked over with a slightly confused look, glancing at his hand and the noise it was making. "Is your hand alright?" She asked, taking a little less intense approach with removing the plating, using her tools to pry up the plating instead of her hands.
Zev nodded. "It will hold up." he replied, still working on the plating. He sighed softly.
"It'll work until we meet up with Alexi?" She asked, scowling as she pried up the metal she was working on and sitting back with a sigh when she needed a break.
Zev nodded again. "Yes." he replied, still pulling up the plating and setting it aside.
She nodded, going back to work and thanking whatever part of her remembered to bring sunglasses on her ship since it definitely wasn't drunk or hungover her that was smart.
Zev continued to work, focused on what he was doing. He finished prying up the plates. "What now?"
"Now we start to replace them with the new plates, if we run out I'll go get some more in the city," She said, sliding one of the shiny metal plates over to her from the few she had brought up and setting it into place where the other one had been, "There are more by the crate too." She grabbed a few fastening bolts and set to work fastening the new plate in place so that none of the bolts showed very visibly.
Zev nodded, and got to work, attaching the new plates carefully. He was silent as he worked, save for the soft, rasping clicks his wrist occasionally made.
Thesa liked the silence as they worked for once, but his clicking wrist gave just a little noise to almost be annoying but not quite. "So, why does your wrist click but nowhere else?" She asked, starting again on another panel and smiling a little at the thought of her ship finally looking nice again and not have a makeshift hull from crashing into his ship.
"Because my wrist sustained damage that I could not repair on my own." Zev replied. "I did not have the supplies to do so."
She nodded, looking over at him wondering how much damage it had sustained that even he couldn't fix it, "What did you do to it?" Her work wasn't her main focus as she started talking to him, but she was still slowly fixing her part of the ship.
"It was smashed." Zev replied, still working carefully.
"By?" She questioned, rolling her eyes behind her sunglasses. Thesa was honestly already sick of the headache from the sun, but she refused to go in until the hull of the ship was fixed up, meaning until they also replaced the front glass panel.
Zev blinked slowly. "Me." he replied after a moment. "I landed on it and my weight smashed it."
"How did you land on it? When was this?" She asked, now very curious as to how he had smashed his own wrist with his body weight.
"When the Daedalus was…when it stopped working." Zev replied carefully.
Thesa nodded, spinning her body so she was facing him, "What happened?" She continued to push for more answers even though it probably wasn't a good idea, "I would think you could fix your wrist easily if you have all the knowledge to fix yourself."
Zev blinked slowly. "I'm not allowed to tell you that." he replied after a moment. "And I did not have access to the proper supplies."
"Why can't you tell me that? You've been saying that a lot and it's just making me more curious," She replied, pushing her sunglasses up on her head and tipping her head to the side slightly, "I understand not having the right supplies though."
"I am not allowed to because…Alexei said not to." he replied, looking over at her for a moment.
She sighed and shrugged, "Figured that, and let me guess, you're not going to disobey what Alexi told you?"
Zev blinked. "I can't. Like any Android, I cannot disobey my maker and master."
"Figured," She said once again with a shake of her head and a frown, flipping her sunglasses back down and glancing at him again, "Can't you just summarize what happened? Then you technically wouldn't be telling me everything and I would stop bugging you."
