"No." Zev replied, still working. "I will not do that."
"And it became Human, in most ways that mattered." // OxO // OPEN
Thesa scowled behind her sunglasses but shrugged, spinning back to her work, "I'll just have to ask Alexi what happened, maybe he'll tell me when we finally see him."
Zev shrugged. "Maybe he will." he agreed, still working on the ship.
She just shrugged again in response and turned back to her work once she realized he still wasn't going to tell her what happened. If she wasn't going to get an answer right now she could at least work and try again later. Eventually she would find out what happened.
Zev continued to work, head cocked very slightly to one side as he did.
Surprisingly, her head was pretty clear of thoughts as she worked, with only the thought of getting a new front window to keep her busy. It would be tough to get one, but with the sheet that had been in the box, it seemed to already be paid for by Harlin. One less cost she would have to cover at least.
Zev continued to work, his wrist occasionally letting out clicks and scrapes and grinding noises. Sometimes he would pause and slam it against something, or peel back the "skin" to adjust the wrist manually.
"We better get you back to Alexi as soon as we can," She said after hearing him smack his wrist against things for what felt like the hundredth time, "Otherwise your wrist might not survive your beating on it."
"Hitting it on things sometimes helps." Zev replied, the faintest trace of something like irritation in his voice.
Thesa shrugged, sliding another panel into place and starting to fasten it down, "Still, you're going to break it more if you continue that."
"Maybe." Zev shrugged his shoulders and continued to work.
"Maybe we could find a replacement piece here before we leave, then I can help you fix your wrist and Alexi might tolerate me because I helped you." She glanced over at him once her pile of panels was gone and flicked up he sunglasses again, "Should we get the front glass right now and finish the outside or should we work with what we have and fix up some of the inside?"
Zev shrugged. "That or you would mess it up even worse, and he would then be very, very angry." He replied. "And it is up to you."
Thesa shrugged, "I mean, you would be the one fixing it, I would just help since you would only be working with one hand." She looked down at the tore open box that was still full of supplies and shrugged, "Why not. I'm going to go work on the inside of the ship. Just so things don't get stolen."
Zev shrugged a little bit. "Maybe so." He replied. "And alright."
She fake saluted to him and made her way to the edge of the ship, climbing down in the same way she had climbed up the night before and taking armfulls of supplies into the ship to start working.
Zev followed her down after a moment, landing on the ground with a thump. He followed her into the ship.
"Did you finish your work on the outside of the ship?" She asked, already taking up a spot cross legged on the floor in the cockpit of the ship and getting right to work.
Zev nodded. "Yes, for now." he replied, looking at her.
Thesa nodded, not looking back at him as she started prying off different pieces of the controls to replace and rework.
"What do you want me to do?" He asked, looking down at her calmly.
"Just…I'm not sure, help me fix all this up?" She said, shrugging and continuing to work on prying pieces off and tossing them aside.
Zev nodded, and crouched by her to help.
Thesa continued her work, only accidentally hitting Zev with a tossed piece once before she made sure to throw them away from where he was.
Zev blinked at the hit, but didn't react. He continued to work steadily and calmly and carefully.
"What's your favorite planet that you've been too so far?" She asked after finishing her current job and pulling open a package of parts to replace the ones she just took out.
He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't have favorites." he replied.
"Which one have you enjoyed visiting the most?" She tried again, thinking that maybe rewording the question would give a good answer.
He frowned a little. "I am…not sure." He replied, shaking his head slightly.
Thesa continued working, though tried again to see if he would find one for sure, "Does one planet stick out more in your memories? One you thought was superior to the others?"
