Davin put on the cloak, pulling the hood over his head and releasing a slow breath. "Damn it." he muttered, tucking the tail into the folds to keep it hidden.

“You alright?” Tohru asked.
He tied his hair back in a low bun, some strands still tangled together. Tohru turned to face Davin.
Davin nodded a little bit. "Yeah." He shrugged slightly. "Just… thinking." He ran his hands through his hair.
group
“Alright, if you say so,” Tohru replied.
He finished his preparations and turned to the other.
“Are you ready to head out?”
Davin nodded again. "Yeah. Should we find an apartment or something to share? This ship would be a little…small, as a living space." he shrugged slightly, running his hands through his hair.
group
“Yeah, sounds good. We can split the rent too. Ship is more… last resort, or temporary if we have trouble,” Tohru agreed.
He opened the door and waited for Davin to follow him out.
He nodded in agreement. "Alright." he'd have to find a job for money. He didn't have any accounts, because those were too easily tracked by…interested parties. Like the Empire.
group
Tohru closed the door behind them and secured the ship, and he walked out into the city. The weather was hazy, but through that he could still see the glow of neon lights pierce the skies.
"Let's take a look around so we know what we're getting into," he suggested.
Davin nodded. "Right. And we don't want anything too fancy, either. Just something serviceable. We're going to need to move on in a month or so. No reason to get attached to anything."
group
"Oh yeah, I didn't intend to. I've rarely stayed in one place for too long myself," Tohru admitted, "I just followed the work. And it's not like I made the proper wages to get anything beyond basic."
He seemed a bit distracted as he stared up at the skyline.
He nodded a little bit. "Alright. Just wanted to make sure." he replied, adjusting his cloak as they walked towards the city.
group
"Yeah, I'd be an ass for acting high maintenance after everything," Tohru murmured, "Although you already have every right to think of me as one."
He walked directly next to Davin, trying to keep his voice low.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Nah, don't worry about it. Plus, I didn't think we could afford something big. At least, not long term and affordably."
group
"At least we agree on that much," Tohru chuckled softly.
He scanned over Davin for a moment, and again he started to feel a bit nervous. He might be pretty easy to single out as Kaythani.
Davin nodded. The cloak actually did a pretty good job of hiding his horns and tail, and he sighed softly, adjusting it again.
group
Tohru let Davin lead the way this time.
"Where are we headed?" he asked, feeling quite out of place.
Davin shrugged. "I don't know." he replied. "We should check message boards for rentals, maybe? Or get food." he shrugged again.
group
"Whichever comes first," Tohru said, "Both sound- Oh, there's a message board over there."
Tohru started towards it, not waiting for Davin to catch up.
Davin blinked, and followed Tohru. "Alright." he replied. He sighed. "How many bedrooms? Obviously one bathroom is fine, but are we good to share a bedroom, or do we need two?"
group
"I don't mind sharing one," Tohru replied, "No need to spend any more money than we have to."
He lowered his head.
"Of course, if that's okay with you as well."
Davin nodded. "It's fine with me." he replied with a shrug. He ran his hands through his hair beneath the cloak, then dropped them again. "I don't really care either way."
group
Tohru started to look through the ads on the board.
"Alright then, works for me."
He glanced over to a cluster of ads for apartments in the city and directed Davin to them as well.
(Gtg soon most likely)
Davin looked, eyes narrowing a little as he studied the ads. He cocked his head slightly, thinking as he looked each over. "We also have to consider the area. We don't want a place that's in a bad area."
group
(Okay, I'll see you around)
"No. I'm armed, but I'd rather not have to use any force. I've lived in my fair share of rough areas, and… well… I've been in a few pretty nasty fights. I'm not keen on going there again," Tohru sighed, "But if it ends up being all there is…"
(probably sometime tomorrow)
Davin nodded. "Right. It doesn't need to be the best, just not too rough." he kept scanning the boards, thinking over each place.
group
Tohru quickly narrowed things down in his head, thinking of the pros and cons of each place.
"Mm… not that one, too pricey…" he muttered, thinking out loud.
Davin nodded. He pulled out his personal device and did some research on the different areas of the planet they were on.
group
After a few minutes, Tohru glanced over.
"Find anything out?" he asked.
Davin nodded. "Yeah. We don't want places in the Torchwood, Zithan, or Nankani districts." he replied, looking at Tohru.
group
Tohru sighed. "Well… hm… These are all in those districts except for the expensive one. Should we keep looking, see if there's anything else we can do, or just pick the less terrible place?"
