King gave him a slight nod, "Okay." He watched as Colby left and let out a sigh. He should probably go check on Pax and he stood up to go and check on the younger male.
Hero vs Villain (O/O)
Colby hurried to his bathroom, showering and taking care of his hygiene. He sighed as he exits, starting on food.
Pax was sleeping uneasily in his bed, his eyes clenched shut tight as he mumbled soft words to himself. He shifts a little in his sleep.
King spotted Pax asleep and at first was just content standing in the door way and watching. However as he watched he saw how restless Pax’s sleep was and quietly stepped into the room towards the bed. He glanced around before softly singing an old lullaby his mother used to sing to him when he… wasn’t in the best state of mind. His voice didn’t and never would sing in the same soft and silky way hers did, but he tried for Pax’s sake hoping it would calm the boy down in his sleep.
Pax whimpered and moaned softly before beginning to ease as King began to sing. His breathing slowed and his thrashing about lessened. He seemed to finally gain some peace as the pain left his face. A small sigh of relief left his cracked and dried lips as he settled into the sheets.
Colby looked up from getting dressed when he heard someone sing. His brow raised in curiosity before he walked towards Pax's room, smiling faintly at the sighed of Pax calming down to King's sweet voice. "You're a blessing." He mutters softly when the other had finished. "He rarely calms down that quickly."
King finished and his head whipped around slightly to look at Colby. He hadn't heard the other man enter. He stepped away from the bed keeping an eye on Pax. His voice was soft as he responded, "Yeah, well. I've had a lot of experience calming others down."
Colby walked to King's side before gently hugging him. "Thank you…" He whispers. "For everything." He hadn't felt like this in ages, years even. It had been so lonely and hard, trying to help his brother all by himself.
King hadn't been expecting a hug but hugged him back carefully. He had a little smile on, "Your welcome. I'm glad to help out."
"If you two are going to frickle frackle get out of my room before you do it." Pax's hoarse voice mutters behind them. Colby jumped, his eyes wide as he looked down at his little brother. "Really. That's the first thing you say? Nerd." he mutters, sitting beside his brother and stifling a laugh.
King felt his face flush, but let out a laugh at the comment anyway. He stayed close and quiet, but a safe distance away from the two brothers letting them have their moment.
Pax looked over at King before smiling a little. "No, no. You too. You're family now." he says quietly. Colby's eyes sadden. As a villain, he wasn't sure about that. But as Colby? God, yes he wanted to have King around.
King stepped over and sat on the bed. He had already made his decision, but it still conflicted him about whether or not that this was the right decision. It would make his life as a hero ten times more difficult now that he had something connecting with both villain and brother. But God did he want to be around them, namely Colby if he was being honest with himself, "Whatever you say Pax."
Pax smiled a little bit before nodding happily. "Thank you, King. For taking care of me and my idiot older brother." He laughs quietly, and Colby let out a real, happy laugh at that. It had been ages since he had smiled like that, it put the sun to shame.
King let out another chuckle as he looked at Pax. Then Colby laughed and oh god King was so goddamn gay. And that smile, calm your beating heart King! He took a breath and laughed, "Anytime Pax. It's not easy, but I can manage."
He smiled at the other before looking at his little brother, his eyes warm with happiness as he helps get a little moisturizer on Pax's lips. "You feel like a shower today, Pax?" Pax nods eagerly. "Please… I need a shower."
King stood up from the bed and looked to the brothers. He was so glad that both Pax and Colby seemed to be happier, "I'll take that as my cue to leave?"
Colby smiles a little bit. "Just for a moment." He says happily, helping Pax out of bed. He sighed tiredly but looked relaxed.
King gave him a smile back. He was happy to see that Pax was getting that bit better, "Okay. Let me know if you want me again."
With that King exited the room and into the hallway taking a long breath as he went. His excuse may be running out of time.

Pax was back in bed and looking a bit better. Colby was sitting outside the shut door and he sighed weakly before shutting his eyes as he leaned back into the door. He was exhausted to say the least, but he stood and walked to the kitchen.
King looked up to see Colby walking into the kitchen from where he was in the living room. He stood up and walked over to where Colby was, "Are you doing okay?"
Colby took a moment to breathe before smiling a little at King. "Yeah, I'm okay. Running a bit short in fumes." He mutters softly. He slowly stood up.
"The go refill," King responded with a little grin, "I can make sure the place doesn't burn down while you sleep."
Colby smiled a little bit. "Thank you. You positive you'll be okay by yourself?" He asks quietly, rubbing at his eyes.
"Positive," King gave him a slight smirk of a smile. He gave Colby a slight laugh, "I can take care of myself and another person easily."
Colby smiled a little at that. "Okay. I believe you. I'll be down in an hour." He says softly.
King gave him a nod, "Okay, but don't be afraid to stay up there longer. You've been working your ass off since Pax came back and you need a break."
Colby smiled at King. "Thank you for your concern." He says softly.
"You don't need to thank me for being concerned," King responded just as soft and with a kind smile, "Now go on and get some rest."
He smiled before nodding. "Thank you." He mutters. Perhaps it was just him out of habit- since he usually kissed Pax's forehead when saying goodnight - but he rests a soft kiss on King's cheek before walking to his room. It was only when he settled into the bed that he realized what he had done..
