Sobex yipped softly and licked at Murdock’s shirt, before laying down all of his weight abruptly onto his chest. He wiggled happily.

Murdock grunted a little when Sobex flopped on his chest, but he chuckled softly as he kept petting his horns. "What, do you like that?" he cooed

Gij smiled as Sobex yapped softly.
“Yes. He does,” Gij translated with a beam.

"I can tell. Who's a good dragon, hm? You're a good dragon," Murdock cooed, continuing to rub his horns happily

Sobex cooed softly, nuzzling his snoot against Murdock’s neck. He seemed to like the positive attention.

Murdock was close to squealing from the cuteness. He wrapped an arm around Sobex, holding him while nuzzling him back

Sobex yipped softly and nuzzled his nose back. He wiggled more his eyes shut happily.

"Aww, that's so cute," Murdock cooed, smiling warmly as he continued nuzzling and snuggling the pup

Gij was smiling, then it abruptly faded out. “Oh… I totally forgot…”

"Forgot what?" Murdock asked, still cuddling Sobex

Gij sighed. “Dragons are a herd animal. They work and live better around another.”

"So..?" Murdock said slowly. "You're half dragon. That has to count for something, right?"

Gij shook his head. “No, I don’t count. Dragons need other dragons. It’s like being half of a guinea pig and not being able to talk to another in their language.”

"I have dragon-like machines I could program to talk to Sobex. Would that help?" he asked

Sobex yapped loudly to get the attention back on him.
Gij took no notice. “I don’t think so. Maybe.”

Murdock chuckled and went back to petting Sobex. "I would just need to have one of the drakes hang around Sobex for a bit. They're programmed to learn languages automatically."

Sobex went back to kneading and purring. Until he decided a little pat wasn’t enough and went back to yapping loudly, which cut off Gij’s answer.

Murdock laughed and wrapped his arms around Sobex, cuddling him to give him some more attention

Sobex purred softly and snuggled into his chest. A few moments later he went back to screaming.

Murdock winced at the screeching. "What does he want?" he asked as he tried to rub at Sobex' horns to distract him

Gij laughed softly. “He wants more attention, now that he’s getting some.”

Murdock just rolled his eyes before wrapping his arms around Sobex, snuggling him happily

Sobex made faint noises in his throat, stayed silent for about two seconds before screeching loudly again for more.

"Oh my god," Murdock laughed before going back to doing his best at cuddling Sobex

Sobex made more faint noises of happiness and nuzzled Murdock’s neck. When it didn’t nuzzle back, he screeched.

Murdock winced when Sobex screeched. He nuzzled Sobex back, practically cocooning him

Sobex smiled a little and yapped happily before nuzzling him back. He seemed content with the cocooning.

Murdock gave a relieved sigh, continuing those motions to avoid another screaming dragon

Sobex nuzzled Murdock’s nose and purred softly, flicking his tail back and forth.
Gij chuckled. “He’s something.”

Murdock just nodded and chuckled, his smile only widening when Sobex nuzzled him. "He's so cute," he murmured
