“Oooh, we’re playing that game, huh? Well, in that case, I say you have to agree with me about how beautiful you are,” Sterling declared with a playful smirk.

"Yeah how about…no. I'd rather not believe lies." She stuck her tongue out at him playfully.
“It’s not a lie, darling Cassandra. I believe you are one of the prettiest girls I have seen.”
"Then you need to get out more because if you did, you would be easily able to tell that I'm not pretty."
“Oh, I’ve been out. And I’ve seen pretty girls. But you… You’re different. You’re pretty without trying. The other girls are all fake, but you’re real.”
"Ah but real beauty comes from the inside. What's pretty on the outside might not be so pretty on the inside." She shrugged.
“From what I’ve seen, you’re beautiful inside and out.”
You haven't seen me when I'm at work. It's not a pretty sight… "Mhm, that's what you think."
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, is it not?” Sterling asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"I mean I suppose so." She shrugged. "But I'm a beholder and I don't think I'm pretty."
“And I am also a beholder, and I think you are.”
"Well it looks like we'll just have to agree to disagree."
“Looks like it,” Sterling chuckled. He glanced at the sky and sighed. “We should probably get to the dining hall. Dinner is going to start soon.”
"Yay! Food!" She laughed.
Sterling laughed and started towards the building. “Food and the mystery we’ll have to solve.”
"Bet ten bucks it's about murder." She chuckled.
“Oh, I’m not betting against that. Im sure it is,” Sterling chuckled. “That’s probably why the prize is so good this year, too.”
"My friend was here a few years ago and it was an escape room and apparently a couple of kids almost died."
“Huh. Well, it’s a good thing they have everyone sign a waiver then.”
"Very good."
“So… Let’s hope we don’t die, yeah?” Sterling joked, grinning over at her as they neared the dining hall.
She rolled her eyes with a smile. "Yeah, let's hope."
The room was buzzing with excitement as they stepped through the door. It looked like everyone was placed around the room with their partner, sitting beside other pairs with similar personalities.
“I wonder how they knew everyone’s personalities…”
"Mind readers." She laughed. "Or just psycho analyzed all of us."
“Or both,” Sterling chuckled, looking around for their seats.
A couple of her friends waved from the other side of the room and she smiled back at them.
“Hey, what happened to ‘everyone hates me’?” Sterling teased her as he finally found their places.
"Them? They're nobodies. They don't count." She chuckled. "My friends and I are nobodies so when someone says everyone, we know they're not including us."
“Hm, all right,” Sterling chuckled.
"Don't judge me!" She shoved him playfully.
