Sterling rolled his eyes and nudged her gently. “I don’t hate you, Cassie. I rather like you, in fact.”

(Hey, you remember how I was talking about having an idea for an RP yesterday? Well I finally finished typing it up, and I’m rather proud of myself!)
Sterling rolled his eyes and nudged her gently. “I don’t hate you, Cassie. I rather like you, in fact.”
"Shocking but okay." She chuckled.
(Hey, you remember how I was talking about having an idea for an RP yesterday? Well I finally finished typing it up, and I’m rather proud of myself!)
(Cool!)
“It shouldn’t be that surprising. You’re a cool girl.”
She brushed her hair behind her ear with a small blush. "That's not true."
“How could it not be true? You’re only eighteen, and you’re an assassin. Which you’ve been since you were fifteen. I’d say that’s pretty cool,” Sterling said, turning to raise an eyebrow at her.
"Most people just find it scary. The last person I told ran away screaming."
“Well… They were stupid,” Sterling said matter-of-factly.
"It's not everyday you meet an 18 year old assassin." She smiled a little.
“Precisely! You have to be pretty special to be able to do that.”
"Or just desperate. I was a little bit of both."
“Can I ask how you managed to become an assassin at fifteen?” Sterling asked, leading her away from the group of people standing by the dining hall.
"Like I said, I was desperate and needed money so I found some people willing to pay me to kill so that's what I did. Sure, it was weird at first but I got over it."
“All right, I guess that makes sense,” Sterling chuckled. “Why’d you choose to be an assassin? There are probably a lot simpler jobs than that.”
"It's the first interesting one I found that paid well." She shrugged.
“Okay… That makes sense,” Sterling mused, nodding slowly.
"I probably sound insane. Do I sound insane?"
“No. Not insane,” Sterling assured her, shaking his head before turning to grin at her.
"Again, shocking. How are you taking this so calmly?"
Sterling shrugged. “I’ve been through a lot. This is tame compared to some of that.”
"Meh. But that's good for us because if any of the clues or challenges requires getting our hands dirty, I won't hesitate."
“I’m sure they wouldn’t do that,” Sterling said, shaking his head a bit. “Not that bad, anyway.”
"I'm sure that my area of expertise won't be necessary but doing something most people would hesitate on is going to be a definite."
“Well of course. I have no doubts about that,” Sterling agreed with a nod.
"This sounds like the beginning of a really good horror movie. Am I the only one who thinks that?"
Sterling grinned and winked at her. “Who says it isn’t?”
"Me because the cute ones always die first and I don't want you to die."
Sterling raised an eyebrow at her. “Hey, I know how to handle myself. I don’t plan on dying any time soon.”
"I certainly hope not." She smiled a little.
