"Hmmโฆno." She chuckled.
๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ช๐ฝ๐ฎ ๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ช๐ฌ๐ด๐ผ!
"You can help me. C'mon, it'll be fun. Romantic, even," Sterling chuckled. "We could put on some slow music, dim the lights, and I'll let you measure stuff out."
"Hmmโฆfine." she sat up and grabbed her robe off the back of her desk chair. It was black satin and shiney, wrapping her curves in a bear hug. "Let's do this."
Sterling watched her wrap the robe around herself with a clear interest in his eyes. He blinked a couple of times before standing and pulling his own clothes on.
"Yup. Let's do this," he agreed, walking out to the kitchen.
She leaped over her cats and headed into the while tiled kitchen. "So, what are we making?"
"Hmโฆ Spaghetti? If you have everything for that," Sterling suggested as he looked through her cupboards and started pulling things out.
She pulled a couple of pots out of the cabniets and started heating some water. "Hold up!" She grabbed a lighter and light two candles, one on the table and one on the counter. "Mmm, s'mores. Can't beat it."
Sterling chuckled and kissed her cheek. "All rightโฆ Now we just need some romantic music," he said as he pulled out his phone and scrolled through songs. Finding a good one, he smirked and hit play. A cover of Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" started playing, and he walked over and wrapped him arms around her from behind.
"Seriously? This is so over played." She chuckled.
โBut itโs a cover. So itโs better,โ Sterling chuckled.
"Whatever you say love."
Sterling snorted and kissed her neck before letting her go. He gathered the rest of the things he needed and started working on the sauce for the spaghetti. โLet me know if you need any help, โkay?โ
"I think I'll be fine." She smiled, working on the spaghetti, humming along with the music.
Sterling hummed his acknowledgement as he continued to work on the sauce. He dumped all the ingredients into a pot as stirred them, making sure it tasted good, too.
The smell of the food and the candles made her stomach growl. She was starving but just kept cooking.
โAre you hungry, babe?โ Sterling chuckled, walking up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist again.
"Aren't you cooking?" She smiled to herself, not even acknowledging his presence over her shoulder.
โYes, but itโs just simmering right now. Not much that needs to be done,โ he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss or her neck.
"Then can you please set the table? Plates are in the cabinet to the top left of the sink, silverware is in the one below it."
Sterling hummed and pulled away. โSure, babe.โ
She smiled a little. "Thanks love." She brushed her hair out of her face, keeping careful watch of her food.
Sterling grabbed plates and set them in the table before moving onto silverware and cups. โDo you want water or something else to drink?โ
"I don't care." She shrugged, putting the finishing touches on the pasta.
Sterling clicked his tongue and just filled both cups with water. He set everything on the table and headed back to the kitchen to stir the sauce.
"Alright, I'm all done here." She stretched, stiff from leaning over the pot.
โDid you make sure theyโre cooked all the way through?โ Sterling asked, turning the burner for the sauce off and stirring it one last time.
"Yes, I made sure. I'm not completely stupid when it comes to cooking."
Sterling chuckled softly and kissed her head. "Well, I just wanted to double check. You were the one who told me you can't cook, babe."
"I can't. I'm a college student. I can't do anything." She chuckled.
"Hmโฆ I beg to differ. There are plenty of things you can do, sweetheart," Sterling murmured in her ear.
