Mermaid/romance rp thing one on one

“Me cough too..” He hugged her weakly and laid back down on the sand.

"Don't die, please," she said, looking at his eyes.

"I'm fine.." He whispered hoarsely. He coughed a couple more times and took deep breaths.

“Stay here,” Moxiey ordered before standing up to dive back into the ocean.

Grayson reached towards her. “Wait. You can’t..don’t…please Moxiey.”

Moxiey turned back, but only with her upper body. "Grayson, I don't want you to get hurt. Please… stay here."

“I don’t want you to get hurt either…please don’t leave…” He said quietly, desperately. Another coughing fit overtook him and he bent over, squeezing his eyes shut.

Moxiey hesitated, then ran over to Grayson. She hugged him tightly, even with the coughing and kissed his cheek. "When you see me again, all of this will be over and we can be together," she whispered before releasing him, sprinting across the sand, and diving into the ocean before she could convince herself to stay.

Grayson reached out for her before letting his hand drop back down. "Please come back.." He whispered desperately, laying back on the rock.

Moxiey swam furiously through the water. She was determined that Diara would get hers this time! She had to do this. For Grayson. She reached the cavern. The water here was no longer clean. It was filmy and felt strange against her skin.

Grayson mustered enough strength to stand up and stumble towards the water.

Moxiey swam closer and saw… nothing. “What?”

Grayson took a deep breath then walked into the water, diving in and looking around for Moxiey.

Moxiey cautiously swam around, looking for any sign of Diara or Rose.

Grayson swam down into the cave, looking around for Moxiey, keeping to the edge of the cave.

Moxiey looked around. She entered a dark part of the cove and squinted. Was there something there?

Grayson spotted Moxiey a little ways down the cave and swam down, coming up behind her.

Moxiey kicked and drew closer to the thing. It shifted. She backed up, startled, and backed right into something soft- She gasped and whipped around. "Grayson?!"

Grayson took her hand gently. “Shh..don’t worry, I’m fine..” He whispered.

"How are you talking?" she asked. The thing in the shadows moaned.

Grayson frowned and glanced around. “I have no idea..”

"Do you need a bubble?" Moxiey asked, preparing to make one.

“Maybe, just in case..” He said, still frowning. “This is so weird..”

Moxiey did it quickly, but just as she moved to put it around his head, the figure in the shadows hissed and tried to move into sight.

Grayson put a hand over her and swam so he was in front of her. (Which probably wouldn’t help cause he’s weak af)

"M-M-Moxiey?"
Moxiey froze. She moved around Grayson and swam over to the figure. It was a mermaid. Moxiey burst into sobs. "Brenna, Brenna, Brenna!"

Grayson watched around them warily, looking for anything dangerous.

Brenna was covered in scratches and wounds.
"What happened?" Moxiey asked desperately.
