André held Jane ontop of his chest, where she could reap the most of their combined warmth, and where he felt he could protect the woman best he could– safely tucked in his arms. His breath made her rise and fall, and the repetitive rise and fall, he hoped, would help her sleep.
Jane snuggled against him and rested her head on his chest. Her ear was right above his heart and she listened to his heartbeat as she slowly drifted into sleep.
André stroked a hand down her scalp, sighijg with every exhale.

John turned his head to glance at the sunlight slanted across the polished bedroom floor. His hair, oiled with sweat and free from being pulled back, rest in curls on the pillow. "What time do you think it is?"

"Too early, for sure." He looked back at his lover, sighed deeply. It felt strange, being in the aftermath. His soul felt warm and happy.
