Pierre clapped his best friend on the back. “How did you meet her?”
"At a tavern," he grinned, brushing hair off his coat. "She just strutted in and ordered herself a whiskey. Im helpless to a strong woman." He chortled in admiration.
Pierre chuckled. “Of course you are. Did you kiss?”
"Oh, did we kiss," he replied huskily. Fracis went red.
“Of course you did.” Pierre shook his head with a grin. “How long since you met?”
"Ah, three days now." He chuckled.
He snorted. “Nice. Did you stay at her house?”
"Yessir," Cruz answered wistfully.
He winked. “Are you returning there?”
"Oh yes."
Laughing, Pierre pushed his hair back. “You’re in deep.”
Cruz smiled warmly. "Well, she likes me too."
“That’s fantastic, I’m happy for you.”
Cruz sighed, "Could you see me in a dedicated relationship?" He squinted.
“One hundred percent. You’re going to be great together.”
"I cant see myself married," he laughed unsurely. "A.. Such a player as myself."
He shook his head. “You’ll do just fine. Don’t worry about it, man.”
"I want you to be my best man," Cruz pat his shoulder, "If I marry."
"Awe!" Francis chirped.
Pierre’s smile widened, though he was plenty surprised. “Th-Thanks, man. You too, with me.”
Cruz hugged him tightly.
Pierre gave him a squeeze, allowing himself a moment to be eternally grateful for his best friend.
"I would die for you, Hermano," he murmured heartfully.
Pierre patted Cruz’s shoulder. “And I for you. But let’s not die, okay? Stay alive.”
