He walked back over to her.
Soulmate au
Eden wasn’t paying attention, so she jumped when he walked up to her. “Oh. Hey.” She said, not really paying attention. She was just trying to make sure she didn’t make a fool of herself when she got up there.
He smiled brightly
Eden smiled, “You want popcorn, yeah?”
He nods slightly.
“Okay.” One medium root bear, one medium Sprite, one medium popcorn
She nodded to herself. Repeating the phrase under her breath.
He holds her hand again.
She squeezed his hand a couple times in succession, moving up a little with the line.
It was their turn in line
Eden looked at the cashier.
“Hey, how can I help you?”
“Um, can I get one medium root beer, one medium Sprite, and one medium popcorn.” She replied, clutching the twenty in her hand.
“Okay. And will that be all?”
Eden hesitated for a moment, “Um…uh, no. No. That’s all.”
“Alright, that’ll be $9.56.”
Eden handed her the money, then collected the change. The cashier left to get the stuff, which for whatever reason, threw her off. She turned ever so slightly before stopping and turning back to the counter.
(Girthy text)
He laughed lightly.
Eden blushed again. She felt kinda dumb. She tapped the counter as she waited for the stuff. After a little bit she was worried that she was wrong. She turned to Jack, “I’m supposed to wait here. Right?”
'Yes. They're just making the popcorn,' he types.
“Right.” She agreed. “Okay.” Soon after they brought the root bear, followed by the Sprite and popcorn. She handed the root bear and popcorn to Jack. Then she moved out of line. “Which one are we going to?”
(Sorry. I finished it right as the bus moved out of range for the WiFi)
(It's fine.)
He held up two fingers.
“Alright.” Eden started walking toward theater 2, checking to make sure that Jack was following.
Jack sure enough is folloowing
She continued on. Finally arriving at the correct theater. She turned to Jack again, “Where do you like to sit?” She asked.
'the back'
“Good. Me too.” She travelled up the steps to the back tiers. She sat it the second to last. “This way, you’re in the back, and you can put your feet on the seat in front of you, provided there’s no one already in it of course, but no one can put their feet on yours.” She explained.
'True! but I can't type after this or I'll disrupt the movie.'
“Mm, that it a very good point. But you’re not really supposed to talk during a movie anyway, right?” Eden was trying to make sure he didn’t think she was being mean or sassy. “We’ll both have to wait until after the movie. I’ll put the candy bag in between us, so you can take whatever you want whenever you need it. And you can hold the popcorn, too. Does that work for you?”
He nods slightly smiling.
“Okay. Here.” She set the bag in between them, if anything closer to Jack than herself. He already had the popcorn. The last trailer played and the lights dimmed.
He reached over and grabbed her hand.
She rubbed her thumb across the back of his hand while she watched him. She was far less interested in the movie than she was in him.
He was more focused on her but listening to the movie every once in a wile.
Eden glance over to Jack so often she saw more of him than she did the movie. She grabbed handfuls of popcorn occasionally, sometimes grabbing some candy. She couldn’t care less about the dogs and whatever they were doing. She wanted to see what Jack was like when he was somewhat neutral. What was is baseline? She liked the way his hair curled and the way his hands fit into hers. She liked his cute nose and his beautiful eyes. She liked hearing him laugh. She loved his laugh.
