"Well you're welcome to stay here.." he said
Soulmate(?) one on one (Closed)
“R-Really?” Why is he being nice? “Why would you want be to stay here? I-I’m not good for anything…”
"Well for one I don't want you getting hurt, two I want to get to know my soulmate, and three I want to help you.." he said quietly.
Lucas flushed a bit. Soulmate… I almost forgot about that somehow. I guess he’s gay too. “T-That would be nice…” He sat back, hastily brushing some tears from his eyes. “Heh, this is one of the reasons my dad hates me…” He laughed weakly. “He liked my brother because he thought he was straight. Joke’s on him, though… he was actually bi, so fuck you dad.”
Skye laughed a bit at that, before sighing. He personally had never known his dad, but hey, you get whay you get.
“Do you… d-do you feel the hits too? Or do you just get the… the aftermath…?” Lucas asked quietly.
"I get the marks from the bruises, and the cuts, but no pain…" he said, "the cuts usually heal if I take care of them…"
“So that’s why I never keep bleeding… i-it’s good that you don’t have to feel it, though… you… y-you don’t deserve to feel pain like that…” Lucas shivered slightly, looking down at the ground.
Skye frowned, pulling him back into a hug. "It's okay…" he murmured.
Is it really? Is anything ever really okay? “H-He’s going to notice that I’m g-gone…” Lucas held tightly onto Skye’s neck, trying to stop his shaking. “He’ll… he’ll c-come looking for me to h…h-hurt me again…” Stop crying… you’re weak… Despite Lucas’s efforts, he couldn’t keep his pent up tears from rolling down his pale cheeks.
Skye held him tightly, "I highly doubt he'll find you here, and if he does then I can protect you.." he murmured, trying to comfort the other.
“He’s… m-my father is a persistent man… if he wants to f-find me, and I can be found, h-he will… it took him three years to finally s-stop looking for my brother and accept that he’s d-dead…”
"Then I'll protect you when and if he finds you…" said Skye softly, not exactly afraid of one abusive homophobic guy, when he'd had to deal with many different gangster thugs over the years.
“B-But he’s dangerous…” I don’t think he understands just how bad it could be if he found us… Lucas looked at his arms, which were still wrapped around Skye’s neck. His blood was seeping through the bandages at this point. That can’t be good.
Skye studied the other's arms for a moment, sighing as he checked his own. "Lovely… and I don't have enough gauze for another wrapping…" he said quietly. "And don't worry about it, I've dealt with dangerous people before…"
“S-Sorry, I cut sort of deep…” Lucas still seemed to want his face to be hidden. “You.. y-you don’t understand, my father… well, he likes to go hunting, and h-he has a rifle… I think he’s going to take it with him.”
Skye sighed, "again, I deal with dangerous people all the time, usually gangsters" he said softly. "I'm not going to get scared just cause he has a rifle…"
“Are you sure?” He has pretty good aim, even when drunk… Lucas clearly wasn’t getting any less nervous. “M-Maybe if I dyed my hair ginger he’d think I’m Claus and he won’t kill me?”
"I'm sure… Besides, where the heck would we get dye?" He said, "If It's not already obvious, I don't exactly have cash to spend…"
“I… I-I dunno… I’m just terrified of him, honestly…” He’s sort of trained me to be afraid.
"And that's okay… everyone is scared of something…"
(I feel like we should time skip to something. Maybe when mister cause of daddy issues shows up?)
Lucas nodded, finally pulling away from Skye. “Is it safe to leave or should we always stay here?”
"I don't advise heading outside alone… unless you know the area." He said.
(Not sure, maybe keep going and see how they interact?)
(How do you mean?)
“Well, it’s been a long time since I even got out of my house, so I don’t know if I’ve ever even seen this place.”
"We're a good distance from where you ran into me…" he said quietly.
(Just roll with it and let them interact, and their relationship develop)
(Aight)
“Yeah… and it probably took me about ten or fifteen minutes of running full speed to get there. So what I’m saying is we’re not that far, and my legs hurt like hell.”
"No, we're pretty far," said Skye, "I move pretty fast.."
“Hard to say how fast I am… although I’ve heard fear can be a great motivator.”
Skye nodded, "mhm.. I can attest to that"
