Soulmate(?) one on one (Closed)

Lucas nodded. “Does he have the soulmate thing too? I don’t think it’s this much of a problem for most people…”

"I've never asked.." said Skye thoughtfully, "it honestly never came up.."

“I wonder if everyone has a soulmate…?” Lucas leaned against Skye, rubbing his arms absently.

Skye shrugged, "Who knows…" he said, "I'm just glad I can finally help you stop getting hurt…."

Lucas nodded again. “It’s going to be so strange to fall asleep without being in pain…”

Skye flashed a look of concern, pulling him closer.

“He drinks pretty much every day, and he’s violent. And he never remembers doing anything in the morning.”

Skye frowned, hugging him tightly.

“It’s okay… y-you don’t have to feel bad. I’m used to it by now.” Lucas smiled weakly to reassure Skye.

"That's even worse…" he murmured. "No one should be so used to pain that falling asleep without it is weird.."

“W-Well… I suppose not. But isn’t it better than not being able to sleep at all because of it?”

"Either one os bad…" he said quietly.

“Oh…” Lucas wasn’t entirely sure how to respond. “I-I guess that sort of thing isn’t too common in the city, is it? You guys have to obey laws and stuff…”

"Law??" Skye scoffed, "If law were a thing I wouldn't be an orphan…"

“Well, I suppose not everyone follows the laws, but they’re there.” Lucas flexed his fingers to see whether his arm still hurt and winced, confirming that it did.

"Yeah, and the law enforcers don't do a good job." he said, a hint of sadness in his voice.

Lucas nodded. “If they did, I’d have been out of my house five years ago…”

"And I'd still have a home.."

“L-Life sorta sucks sometimes, huh?” Lucas brushed tears out of his eyes for the hundredth time.

Skye nodded, burying his face in the other's shoulder.

There was a knock at the door and Lucas jumped, startled. He stared at the door and started shaking, cowering back to the wall. (It’s just Skye’s friendo)

Skye sat up as a new figure came in, and he smiled when he recognized the shadow. He quickly scoot back and hugged the other, "It's okay! It's just Marco."

“M-Marco…?” Lucas said quietly, still very tense. How’s he going to react to a new person being here?

Skye nodded, trying to get him to relax. Finally another tall, lighter skinned guy came in. He had dark hair with blue tips.

Lucas looked up at Marco, who seemed confused and looked to Skye for an explanation. Lucas subconsciously covered his arms with his sleeves before looking down at the ground nervously.

Skye smiled at him, before getting up. "Sorry I couldn't meet up at our spot" he said, "kinda had to help my soulmate first…" he said, grinning.

(I’ll be Marco I guess)
“Soulmate? Guess you found him, huh?” Marco looked down at Lucas, who was still cowering in fear. “Seems a bit shy.”

" don't be too rough, he's had a bad day.." said Skye.
(Marco has a similar personality, and values to Skye, but is more of a joker, and will play pranks and take risks. But they will rarely endanger his friends, if at all.)

“What happened?” Marco flopped down on the floor, examining Lucas. This made Lucas a bit self conscious, and he leaned more into Skye almost for protection. Very shy. Marco thought to himself.

"Not so nice parenting…" he said sadly, pulling the other close to try and keep him calm.
