“I just want to give him a hug but I think he’d freak out.”
Soulmate(?) one on one (Closed)
Skye nodded, "I wouldn't blame him…"
"If… if he did kill himself, would you die too?"
"I…" Skye trailed off. "I-I don't know…."
"Well, let's just hope it doesn't come to that." Lucas buried his face into Skye's shoulder in his sleep, trembling ever so slightly. "Did he have anyone to help him deal with this? Other than you, of course."
Skye held him carefully, "Not as far as I know." he said quietly, "And we only just met.."
"How old is he? He's definitely younger than us by a year or two."
"About 18.." said Skye, still distracted by cuddling his soulmate.
"Hmm… I assume he'll be living with you now? No way we're letting him go back home."
"Well I can't keep him here if he really want's togo, but I'll give him the option.."
"Something makes me think he didn't exactly like it at his house. If he did, he might just be insane."
Skye nodded quietly, sighing.
After a minute or two, Lucas slowly opened his eyes to see Skye and Marco watching him. His eyes widened and he sat up, moving back a bit nervously. "W-What happened? Did I do something wrong? I-I'm sorry…" "Hey, relax kid. You haven't done anything."
Skye pulled the other back into his arms, "It's okay… you just dozed off…" he said.
"Oh… s-sorry…" "What are you sorry for now?" "I-I don't know! I'm just… I am." Lucas stared at the floor again. "I… I wasn't asleep too long, right?"
Skye frowned, hugging him, "If you need sleep, then sleep, it's okay…" he murmured.
"It's not safe to sleep… I-I'm too vulnerable…" Lucas shuddered ever so slightly. "How long has it been since you slept, Lucas?" "Uh… I dunno… m-maybe three days? Maybe more?" "Shit, you definitely need to sleep. No one's gonna hurt you here. It's safe."
Skye studied him worriedly, pulling him close, "Please just sleep, you need it…"
Lucas hesitantly lay his head back on Skye, trying to close his eyes. After several minutes, his exhaustion finally took over again. "Yeah, I'm not letting this kid go back… well, I was gonna say home, but it ain't much of a home, is it?"
Skye nodded, "He's staying here…. either that or we play assassin on the bastard that did this.."
"We could at least get the police or something. Asshole like that deserves nothing better than prison. Look at the bruises and scars on this poor kid." Marco gently rolled up Lucas's sleeve to see the bruises on his upper arms. "God knows there's more of them."
Skye nodded, "I know, but that'd risk a lot for us too remember? We're both wanted for petty theivry, and evasion of the authorities.."
(Marco taught Skye how to steal to survive on the streets, both have stolen food, first aid kits, clothing, and basic necessities when needed.)
(Oofen)
"True… what do we do, then? I can tell Lucas ain't going to do shit about it. He's terrified out of his mind."
Skye sighed, "I don't think there's much we can do, though we'll definitely have a problem if his dad comes for him."
"Is his dad looking for him? If that bastard comes here I'll be wanted for more than thievery, if you know what I mean."
"His dad might look for him…" said Skye quietly, still cuddling the other.
"I'm surprised he's so okay with you holding him like that. Must be the soulmate thing. I think he trusts you."
Skye nodded, "Yeah… well… he kinda ran into me and passed out… so…" he shrugged.
"Oh… makes sense." Skye's arm bumped against Lucas's chest and he flinched a bit in his sleep. "I think his chest's hurting him too.."
Skye frowned, carefully moving to lie the other down on his back. Then he carefully pulled the other's shirt up to check for injuries.
