(Do you want me to explain what the other people on their team look like quick?)
Dierra claimed the bed farthest in the corner, looking around at the space. Lined up against the farthest wall were their beds, each divided by a thin curtain that could be removed. In the middle of the room were two wooden tables with metal chairs for each of them. There was a small amount of workout equipment tucked away in another corner and finally two bathrooms in the last corner, along with two seperate showers. "Day one." She said out loud, not knowing or caring of the others could hear, "Day one.."

(Sure, it'd help a bit)
Griffin heard Dierra but didn't bother to engage in conversation. He sat up and toyed with his pocket knife, wondering how long he'd last. He sighed. He wasn't going to get anywhere if he was antisocial. Griffin leaned his back against the wall, looking at Dierra. "After a while, the days won't really matter. Most of us will end up dead anyway. A sad thought, but true."

@gracehustle

(Alright, give me a sec and I'll just find the very basics for them)
"I know, though I don't plan on dying right away, I want to at least make it to the solo competitions." She replied, looking at him and grabbing her locket from where it hung around her neck. "How long do you think you'll last?" She started fiddling with the locket, opening and closing it over and over.

"Psh! A few days, at most. Don't think I'll be able to do much here, not with me worrying about family and those kinds of things. How 'bout you?" Griffin sat up, pushing his palms into the firm mattress of his bed. His head was tilted to the side, a sign of genuine curiosity, "You aren't of the many girls freaking out, so I'm assuming you'll outlast me."

@gracehustle

(Adrian Sage: He's a very tall 18 year old boy, 6'4" to be exact. He has a fair amount of muscle but tends to keep to himself as well, you only see him standing up for others when they're fighting against another team, otherwise he tends to take care of himself first. He has almost black hair and piercing blue eyes with olive skin
Cosette McGrath: A 18 year old girl, she has curly black hair that goes to her shoulders and she's 5'8", surprisingly tall and quite strong as well. She's not one to beat around the bush with her feelings or ideas and she can be quite loud and obnoxious, she has chocolate brown eyes and chocolate brown skin,
Ari Finch: A small and quiet 17 year old girl. She has light blonde hair that's almost white and she's only 5'0", she's the sneakiest and quietest of the bunch and tends to keep to herself. She has soft green eyes and very very pale skin
Cassian Fox: A 17 year old boy He's kinda a jokester, he's the most optimistic and tries to keep everyone else's spirits high while in reality he's slowly crumbling inside. He's 5'10" and an average weight, though he's excellent at strategy. He has wavy blonde hair and light brown eyes that go with his tanned skin
Felix Everett: The most flirtatious of the bunch, he's 17 1/2 and acts like he runs the world. Despite his neat and modest appearance, he's an expert at all weapons and loves to show off with them. He has curly brown hair that is kept neatly out of his face and gray eyes. He's 5'11" and his skin is a pale tan color.)

Dierra shrugged, "Don't know, I'm just going to try my best. And about that not freaking out part..let's just say that's wrong." She cracked a small grin and leaned against the wall, relaxed. "I think you'll last longer than you think. Even though you're a twig, you look quick and agile, which can be very helpful."

(gtg, Idk if I can RP tomorrow or not)
"Yeah, right. I might be able to go up against some of the boys here, but I'm not going to take my chances against a girl. I'm a pessimist, so as long as you don't screw with my family or get in my way, we're neutral." Griffin laid in his bed and realized he was just barely as big as the length of the bed, in which he pouted. "Can't they get us anything more decent than this? And you think my concerns would be of how to survive! Nope, it's the stupid bedding."

@gracehustle

(K)
She laughed and rolled her eyes, "This competition isn't now for it's superb housing and meals." Dierra laid down on her bed and grinned, it was easily long enough for her to sleep comfortably, "One of the perks of being short." The others slowly claimed the other beds and started talking, exchanging names and starting to form plans.

"Oh, shush!" Griffin was only partially serious, but mostly teasing. "It's not my fault that I'm 5 foot 8! That'd be from my father's side, I believe. My mom's pretty short, though so…yeah. How's your family?" Griffin was quick to change the subject. He didn't want to reveal too much about himself to a stranger.

@gracehustle

"Heartbroken," She said, looking at the ground, "I already lost my older brother to this competition, I don't plan to be next." She blew out a short breath and looked up at him. "But, I won't go into details about my family, that'd take so long."

"Hm, cool. Any hobbies? Besides doing this?" He gestures around the room, a small smile forming on his face.

@gracehustle

Dierra rolled her eyes, "I really like archery, that and messing around with my siblings." She leaned back on the wall and raised an eyebrow, "You?"

Griffin stiffened, clenching his jaw, "Why would you care? If I told you, how'd I know that you wouldn't use it to your advantage? Look, the best way I'd survive is if I not make friends who I'll grow close to, and I'm stupid for even talking to you; I realize that now. Just-stop being friendly. Only one of us can make it out anyways, let's not get close to the ones who'll die. If I even do make it, for some miracle, I'd rather not have to grieve over you."

@gracehustle

"Ok, geeze..just trying to be nice," Her eyes widened and she put her hands up, "I figured that since we are a team now we should at least know a little about each other..nevermind I guess." She went silent and stood up, heading over to the small amount of guy equipment to see if she could train at all.

Griffin grumbled. He liked this girl, yes, but he didn't want anyone to go under his skin, to use his weaknesses against him. He still felt a tinge of guilt, though.
"Fine. I'm skilled with a knife, and I pretty much take care of my family. No details. That satisfactory?"

@gracehustle

Dierra glanced at him and nodded, "Nice to know." She sighed when she saw that she couldn't train and made her way back to her bed, sitting down unceremoniously. "I wonder what team we're going to have to go against first.. that's the real question."

"Does it really matter? I mean, there aren't good odds that I'll win. Maybe you. That's a compliment if you didn't know. I-I didn't mean to be snarky, sorry." Griffin sat up, putting his palm to his forehead. "I'm just…not really good at talking. I unintentionally push people away."

@gracehustle

"It's ok, I'm easy to push away, that doesn't mean I can't be stubborn when I want to though." She smiled and nodded, "Thanks by the way, I think you're going to win though." She leaned back on the wall and sighed, bouncing her leg absentmindedly. "What time do you think it is? Since they decided that no clocks for a bunch of nervous teenagers was a smart idea."

"Hm, I'd say around one or two. From where I live to here is a longer drive than most people. And I highly doubt that I would win, miss optimist." Griffin hesitated before saying, "But I've always wanted to think highly of myself. All those other boys? Probably jerks on the inside who'd keep me on their side just so they could have an easy kill in the end. I wouldn't be surprised if they did."

@gracehustle

She shrugged, "Yeah, though I think the ones on our team are pretty safe," She pointed to the others, Cassian was joking and poking fun at Felix while Cossett could barely contain her laughter. Ari and Adrian were deep in conversation a few feet away, both sitting on the floor and nodding as the other commented.

"Mhm." Griffin gives Dierra a slight nod, "Maybe. Don't judge them immediately based on behavior, though. Take, for example, me. I hate talking to people who aren't close to me-in fact, I almost always hate them, and yet here I am, talking to you."

@gracehustle

"Does that mean you hate me? Or am I tolerable?" She raised an eyebrow and smirked, chuckling as she glanced at Cassian and saw that he and Felix were arm wrestling, almost looking like they were trying to impress Cossett.

"Meh, you and I are on good terms, I suppose. Don't think for a second that I'm letting my guard down, though." Griffin takes out his pocket knife, which had been sharpened before he'd left, and he toyed with it, amusing himself.

@gracehustle

Dierra nodded, "Sounds good, I can't say I'm letting mine down either." She sighed and nodded to Griffin, "Well, I'm going to go talk to the others, I'd suggest you do the same if you don't want them to stab you in the back during this competition." She stood up and half saluted him before walking over to where Cossett and the others were, immediately joining in on the laughter and conversation.

Griffin grumbled before getting up and walking towards the commotion, observing, not interacting with them. He needed to know more about them to even know if he even wanted to communicate with them.
"Hey! Skinny dude! You wanna go against me?" Cassian had a broad smile on his face.
Griffin stiffened before hesitating and nodding slowly. After about thirty seconds, Cassian won easily.

@gracehustle

Dierra grinned and chuckled, watching Griffin loose, "Nice try Griffin. Either of you want to go against me?"
Cosset laughed and nodded at Cassian, "C'mon bud, you can beat new girl, then I want to see you go against her." She pointed at Griffin and a grin appeared on her face.

@gracehustle

(Another small detail about Cosett and Cassian, they knew each other before the competition started so Cossett knows how broken her friend is and she will protect him with her life)
