(i's aright!)
"Want to begin why you smell like a human girl? Or why you were gone for a full night?" Cadion, His dad growled, desperation mixed with slight anger in his voice.
"I wanted to help her. A male came up to her and made her cry. She ran so I followed. I didn't want to bring her here in case you might kick her out so I stayed with her at the cave where it was safe." Zyl explained, glancing up at his father and mother, who stood silent next to his father with a hand on his shoulder.
The male sighed through his nose and softened his tone "zyl, next time if something like this happens, ease come to us. If it's truelt a concern we won't let you or your friend get hurt." Zyl smiled and nodded "thanks Dad! I think she's safe now though. Her father came around and picked her up." Cadion nodded "I'll scout the area to make sure they left without trouble while you and your sister get washed up for dinner."
The wolf in a red hood (romance one on one)
Harlow's mom started making dinner as she sat at the table coloring. As she did so a page of a wolf was there and she couldn't help but think of that boy. He was nice. She started coloring, hoping she would see him again. Her mother told her to put the book away and get ready for dinner. She walked up stairs and washed her hands. As she walked down she looked out the window, for some reason hoping he would be there. Shaking her head she skipped down stairs and sat at the table.
"So what's the girl's name?" Kiya, Zylfer's mother asked with a sweet smile, the same smile that made Zyl's father fall in love with.
Zyl blushed "Harlow, she's really nice."
Cadion smiled down at his mate and the little girl in her arms and then at his son "you want to see her again, don't you?" he asked
Zyl nodded "I want to show her that we're not all bad, just that she happens to meet a bad wolf."
"Harlow it's time for bed." Her mom and dad always watched TV before bed, but she couldn't join, which she thought was unfair, but whatever. Her room was on the second floor. Up there she had a small balcony for herself, she thought it would be a nice place to play tea party. Before bed she went out there. Bringing her favorite teddy bear and started to play. "Mr. Robert, would you like some tea? In was imported from Brazil. Some of the best, she said as she raised the kettle up and began pouring the fake tea.
(some fancy tea ya got there kid)
After dinner, Kiya tucked Zylfer in "you can visit her tomorrow. After you hunt a bit." She winked and hugged Zyl close before pulling away and shutting the lights "goodnight, Zyl."
"Night mama."
Harlow hated going to bed. She felt lonely, even if her parents were there. If she had a sibling that would make things better. Somehow she ended up falling asleep, but it was on the balcony. Which was the safest, but she didn't care. It was slightly chilly, but since she was asleep she didn't get her blanket.
Zyl, along with the rest of his family awoke in the early morning hours, knowing the best regards to catch breakfast was when they couldn't run from you. Brutal but that was the ways of hunting and Zyl enjoyed an easy meal in the morning. Once they all hunted, Zyl offered to take Valerie with him to patrol the area while his parents took a day to themselves. Cadion reassured zyl that he'd come to check on them in a bit and to be careful around the more heavily human populated areas. Zyl nodded and trotted off along with his sister
Harlow woke up to the warm sun on her face. She sat up but winced, sleeping on the balcony was not the best thing. "I can't believe I fell asleep out here." When she walked down stairs she didn't see her parents down stairs. Like always when this happened Harlow went to all the doors and windows and locked them. Since she was on spring break she would often be left home alone. Going to sit on the couch she looked outside to watch nature.
"Alright little sis, we're going to learn how to howl today!" Zyl trotted about happily, followed by his little sister who was adorably snarky for her own age. "Zyl, you just learned how to hunt a few days ago. now you're showing me how to howl?" She laughed and nodded"fine, show me the way, big brother."
(Wait, is Val younger?!)
Harlow wanted so badly to go outside, and whatever her parents didn't know won't hurt them, right? She unlocked the door and stepped outside. The nice cool air and the warmth of the sun always made her feel better. The bruise on her wrist started to hurt a little, but she ignored it. She sat on the outside rocking chair and rocked back and forth. Taking in the nature.
(yeah….did I say she was older before?)
Zyl trotted in a circle until he was content and sat down. "Ready?"
Val nodded "yep!"
Zyl nodded and took a deep breath before howling for a long while before letting it fade out and echo through the forest. "Now your turn."
(yeah….did I say she was older before?)
(I don't think so, I just assumed. She just seemed older.)
Harlow jumped at the sound but stood. Sure the man yesterday was scary, but her new friend showed her that not all of them were scary. She followed the sound being quiet as she did so. She always liked Wolves, she though they were very beautiful. So she wanted to see who was howling. Stopping she waited for the next one so she could follow it.
(nope, she's younger but acts as if she's older, if that makes sense)
Val sat down, still jumpy from the excitement and howled, trying to mimic her brother. she let out an adorable awoo, still too young to develop a deeper and louder howl. Zyl smiled proudly and joined in, trotting around her and throwing his head back in a triumphant howl at his little sister's achievement.
(Aw, how cute.)
Harlow heard it again and followed the noise. She came across a small clearing where two wolves were howling. One she recognized, the other she didn't. Harlow sat behind a tree and decided to just listen. She liked the sound of howling it was soothing for some reason. Peaking around the corner she watched as Zyl trotted around this other wolf.
Val stopped her trotting and sniffed the air, "zyl….I smell something weird….I've never smelled it before." Zyl stepped in front of his sister protectively and growled lowly, scanning the clearing with a keen eye. He sniffed the air and tilted his head, knowing the smell from last night. "you can come out." He said, shifting to his human form
Harlow held her breath when she heard the growing, ut calmed down when she heard Zyl's voice. She peeked around the corner not fully coming out yet. She was okay with him, but Harlow didn't know the other one. She moved a little to where she could see better and gave Zyl a wave and a small smile.
He smiled and waved back, stepping aside so his sister could see. Val had shifted and was clinging to Zyl's arm "who's that?" She asked, her large round eyes flicking between Zyl and Harlow.
"She a friend, the one I was telling you about yesterday."
She nodded and smiled "why is she hiding?"
"She's nervous about meeting you."
Val pouted and waved to the girl "I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm Valerie, zyl's little sister."
Harlow slowly stood and walked over to the other side of Zyl and did the same thing Val was. He clung to his arm. Harlow didn't have siblings or any friends really. Zyl was the only one who has gain her trust. Most people wouldn't have stayed over night with a little girl they just met. He watched over her and kept her warm. She saw him as her friend and protector. "Hi." She said in a small voice.
Val smiled and waved again. " So I'm guessing you're not wolfish. Right?" Val asked with a little eounce as she walked around Zyl to where Harlow stood and looked her over
Harlow shook her head as she tightened her grip on Zyl. "No." Was all she could make out. Harlow was small for her age and always has been, she was extremely attracted to Zyl now and wanted him to take care of her. It could be because she had been alone most of her life. Harlow talked around to the front of Zyl and held her arms up. She wanted to be spoiled, because her parents didn't do that.
(Zyl got himself mixed up with a young girl that wants him to spoil her and take care of her. I feel bad for him. Haha.)
(Aw nu! XD)
Val tilted her head to the side and glanced over the girl’s shoulder at her brother. She shifted and growled at harlow. Zyl shook his head “val please don’t,” he walked around Harlow and crouched down next to his sister, nuzzling her little head. He glanced back at harlow “shes a little possessive.” Val snappedher jaws at him and sat down with a huff.
Harlow jumped when Val growled and she back away a few steps before running into the forest. I hate them. Harlow decided the Zyl was the only one she liked. Harlow found the cave she was in and sat down. She forgot her journal, so there wasn't much to do. I just wanted to be held for a little bit. They're all so mean.
Val grinned triumphantly as she saw Harlow run away, but when she glanced at her brother her smile fell.
"Really Val? She just wants a friend."
"Yeah! Bit she doesn't need to cling to you like life support! She can take care of herself." She held back tears and ran off towards home, leaving Zyl torn between wanting to make sure his sister was alright and making sure Harlow was. He sighed softly and followed his sister "I'll come back, I promise."
(Yeah because a 6 year old can take care of herself. Can I add a character? Like a rival for Zyl?)
(he was torn between his sister and a friend, he's a nine year old that makes odd choices XD And sure go ahead! My boi needs some competition)
Harlow sat there and waited for anyone to come. But it seemed like no one was. She stood and started just walking. She didn't know exactly where she was going but hopefully she would find something. She was grateful it was light out, she wasn't as afraid. As she walked a bit further she say a little shed, just in the middle of the forest. As she got closer, she figured no one would be in it since she didn't hear anything. When she opened the small wooden door it only opened half way. Thankfully she was small and could slip through. She saw a boy, with beautiful shiny blond hair asleep on a blanket. He looked like a Prince to her. "Hello, are you okay?" When he heard the voice his eyes slowly opened, and they were the color of the sky. "Oh, and who might you be? I've never seen such a cute little gi like you around here." He laughed and patted her head, for some reason he didn't s are her. "I'm Harlow, and I'm six." She held up six fingers. Again the boy laughed. "Well, I'm Conner and I'm ten." Harlow stayed there and hung out with Conner for a while. He did tell her he was a werewolf as well, but she was pretty used to it by now.
(Sorry, I'm really sick today so I'm not sure how often I'll be able to answer.)
(Hope you get better!) (Zyl about to get hella jealous…)
Once Zyl calmed his sister down and promised that there was room in his heart for friends and family, also promising to play with her later once he found Harlow, he headed off towards the clearing where Harlow was. He whimpered softly before following her scent trail deeper into the woods. He picked up another scent as well and growled "No…not him…please not him…" He l, let out a howl, hoping his family heard him and sprinted off towards Harlow. He remained in the trees as he scanned for Conner or Harlow
"So, uh is a small human girl like you doing out here alone?" Conner had given Hatlow some chips, since this is where he hung out most of the time. His family was overbearing, so he liked to escape once in a while. "I came to see a friend, but I wasn't welcomed by his sister. So I ran away." Conner just laughed, then picked up a scent. "It seems someone is around." Standing he looked out his window and got a better idea of who it was. "Ah…" Him and Zyl didn't get along too much. Conner's pack was a whole different one from Zyl's. "Who's here?" Harlow followed Conner and sniffed outside the window, even if she did know she wouldn't be able to smell anything. She was six, and well children copy what they see. Conner looked down at her and smiled. How cute.
